When they were finally taken back, he was asked if there were any more - he lied and said 'no'.

He will now be charged for these offences, and it looks like the arraignment will happen this week.

Some legal experts say the Georgia case is by far the most serious legal quagmire that Trump faces.

He or his associates could be criminally liable for making false statements, improperly influencing government officials, forgery in the first degree, and criminal solicitation.

The prospect of racketeering — a charge usually reserved for the mafia and criminal street gangs — has also been floated.

Georgia's prosecutor recently indicated that they would be announcing indictments in the case as soon as August.

An aide to former President Donald Trump has been indicted in special counsel Jack Smith’s investigation into the mishandling of classified documents from the Trump White House.

Walt Nauta’s indictment is the second in the special counsel’s investigation. Trump has been indicted on 37 counts, which include charges relating to the willful retention of national defense information, according to the indictment, which was unsealed on Friday.

Nauta faces six counts, including several obstruction- and concealment-related charges stemming from the alleged conduct.

Smart move, charging Trump's aide.

On at least two occasions after leaving office, Trump displayed classified documents to others visiting him at his golf club in Bedminster, New Jersey, the indictment alleges. In July 2021, Trump showed a writer, a publisher and two staff members a “plan of attack” that he said had been prepared for him by the U.S. military, the charges say. The audio-recorded meeting reportedly involved a document that Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Mark Milley drafted about Iran.
