This Russia-Ukraine war is a bit like the Iraq-Iran war in the 80s. While Iraq was the aggressor, it was wisely summed up by Kissinger saying, " it is a pity both sides can't lose'.

Considering a lot of European nations and NATO ones at that were 'banking' $$$ on Russia taking Ukraine without any fuss, I'm not surprised at Russia having sympathisers, mostly Slavic.
