Chilling CCTV catches Paul Thijssen moments after murdering
Lilie James at St Andrews Cathedral School

Chilling CCTV footage has emerged of the man suspected of killing 21-year-old Sydney teacher Lilie James.

It came just hours after he murdered her in the school where they both worked.

Footage from 9 News shows 23-year-old Paul Thijssen visiting Diamond Bay Reserve at 8.47pm on Wednesday, about an hour after the alleged murder occurred at St Andrews Cathedral School in Sydney’s CBD.

The Dutch national can be seen walking down the path before he dumped the alleged murder weapon in the bin and drove off in his silver Lexus.

9News reports he sat in his car for two hours before calling the police and alerting them of the location of Ms James’ body.

Paul Thijssen was wanted for questioning over Ms James’ death.
He has now been identified as the body police retrieved from Diamond Bay on Friday.

Did you know her personally?

If that Paul Thijssen had anything to do with it, then it was probably a case of: "If I can't have her, no one will"

He was an immigrant from Holland

Did she milk him dry of all that he had financially and then ditch him for another? That's a very expensive look she has.
That is: Did she financially rape him?
After 'revenge' is achieved, there is nothing left to motivate and thus he called the police.

If someone was invading your home and they were armed and you feared
for your life I could understand shooting them -
but getting so carried away over matters of the heart - lost in love?
Some people are just straight out nuts - they are crazy.

I've been dumped by women because I wasn't good enough for them.
I would wish them well and move on.  :)
I just found another one and forgot but the other one.

Please stop.

The guy had serious issues.

Also he contacted her dad FIRST pretending to be her. He used her iPhone to text him....asking for him to come and pick her up from her workplace. Why? He wanted her dad to see his raw handiwork before the police got there and covered it up and cordoned the crime scene off.

Lilie’s murderer called the police much later. Just before he committed suicide.

It was all cruelly and sadistically planned.

Lilie had no chance of escape.

A lot of us who knew her and know the family are angry. The school SHOULD have provided wireless emergency personal alarms for all employees esp given parts of the school do not have CCTV coverage. Also its employees should never work alone or in some isolated area of the school complex. That’s the other problem which Lilie’s murderer took advantage of. He knew all the shortcomings of the school’s health and safety protocols and used them to his advantage.

And all because she said NO.

Personally speaking I can’t help but blame his corporate jet setting parents for indulging their only child and son from the get go. And they sub contracted the child rearing process out to a very expensive boarding school system. They weren’t there to oversee his development and to address issues AS they arose. If they had ... then they might have realised that their son was turning into a creepy stalker who had a roving eye. I don’t believe for a moment that these parents were really emotionally available to guide/support their child. To tell him off. To tell him no. To discipline him. They were too pre occupied with their own agenda. Well now they will die childless. And what’s more ... they will go to the grave knowing their son was utterly and totally responsible for brutally taking away another couple’s only daughter.

Unfortunately I don’t see his parents all too concerned. Even now all they appear to be commenting on is the logistics of organising their son’s funeral overseas.

🥺😩

A profile of the murdering immigrant psychopath .... It's no wonder Lilie broke it off with him

"Some fellow students at the school told media they disliked Thijssen and viewed him as 'arrogant', while others described him as 'weird', 'creepy' and a 'flirt'.

Current students said he had a 'wandering eye' that unsettled girls on the sports team he coached, and had boasted about his affair with Ms James to pupils."

It looks like the Department of Immigration failed to check their list of red flags when allowing this creep to come back to Australia, unaccompanied by his parents

Update

The killer’s parents have FINALLY spoken about this tragedy. Anyone want to guess what they came up with? They spoke of the pain they suffered in deciding how to bury their only child and son. They have decided to cremate him and then scatter his remains somewhere in Sydney.

Total cost to them? SFA

Total cost to say something about the death of the victim and her heartbroken family? NIL

As far as I’m concerned these “parents” have displayed nothing but utter selfishness and disrespect. Is it any wonder that their ONLY child displayed the same behaviour?

Meantime there’s a GOFUNDME page to help pay for the funeral of 21 yr old Lilie.

For those of you who may think that my responses towards the killer’s parents are scathing well it’s probably because I’m angry and upset as children are impacted by how they’ve been born n bred. Negative role modelling does harm.

IF we want to help build a decent future society then the hard work STARTS AT HOME - from Day 1 when a child comes home from hospital. Parents are also a child’s 1st Day Carer/1st Pre School teacher. It’s a tremendous responsibility. It takes a lot of dedication and patience to get a child to understand routines/rules (re eating/sleeping/playing). These set a blueprint for future behaviour. If you are an absent parent (I’m referring to those who have to work to help pay bills AND those who want to work because they value their career) then for God’s sake do whatever it takes to ensure that at the very least the other parent IS available to help nurture the child from age 0 to age 18.

IF the other parent isn’t available then look for responsible and able grandparents. Dear Lord where would we be without them? IF grandparents are unavailable (some may have passed or are too frail/aged) look for sisters/sister in laws (aunts).

If all else fails - work from home (hybrid work opportunities exist post Covid).

Another thing: when we (as adults) decide to have a child we ought to prep for a child. That means prepping a plan for budgeting time and money. If your plan isn’t workable then don’t have kids. Do not sub contract your parental responsibilities onto others. If it’s a tough gig for YOU as the child’s parent then it will be an even tougher gig for those who are not the child’s parent.

The conclusion of my discussion/sermon? The parents of this killer were nominal parents. They weren’t practicing parents. They made up for that slack by indulging their only offspring with everything he wanted (not needed). As such they failed their son/only child who will only be remembered for devastating another family’s only daughter.

Yes, an absolute insult to Sydney and Australia

Can't take their murdering son's ashes back to Holland, that wouldn't look good, would it?

Just leave the ashes here to remind Lilie's family that their daughter wasn't good enough for arrogant Paul

Similar insult to murdering Paul texting Lilie's dad to come and pick her up while she was lying dead in the school bathroom

Excrement fills the brains of this Dutch psychopathic poor excuse for a family

Minns ought to order them to get the ashes out of NSW and never set foot here again

A case of European Upper Class reminding 'convict' Australians their place on the entitlement tree of class structure?

Sounds like he couldn't cope with Australia's egalitarian attitudes of 'equality' regardless of wealth.

Terribly sad funeral took place yesterday for this 21 yr old angel.

Next level grief.

Might write a poem in honour of her brief stay.
