I have been following this SC as you know in “The Sun” thread and the cycle is getting close to its maximum so I thought I would post what will happen at solar maximum which is not far away.

The sun has been more active than predicted—it was predicted to be as inactive as SA24. Solar Cycles are notoriously difficult to predict tho.

I have made a prediction for SC 26. We have seen cycles get less active from the 1980s on. So there is a bit of a trend. With SC 25 > SC24 I predict SC26 > SC 25. Somewhat more active.

We may even be in the early days of a new solar maximum, like the one in the middle decades of last century. That is a prediction I doubt I will see come true. (be pushing up the daisies) by then. I reckon I will see the end of SC27 alright.
