That's okay, Aussie. Mr Trump doesn't need states like that. If they refuse to be ruled by the big fella, they can succeed - or become a territory, something like that.

Nobody needs RINOs like this, dear, it's terrible. Mr Trump goes to all trouble of running, and this is the thanks he gets. So ungrateful, no? So unfair.

No worries, Mr Trump can use the suckers' donations to appeal to SCOTUS. The Supreme Court will overturn this nonsense, you'll see. States have no right to say who the prez is, it's unconstitutional.

States have no right to rule on federal electoral laws. They have no right to decide on electoral college delegates, I don't care what anybody says. They have no right to rule on covid lockdowns, getting vaxxed, praying in schools, trans-bathrooms, guns, abortions, saying Merry Christmas, etc, etc, etc. It's insane.

Actually, did you know? Mr Trump legalised Christmas. Prior to 2016, nobody was saying it. Trust the leftards, with all their silly Culture Wars. They're such smarmy, killjoy virtue signallers.

Prior to 2016, nobody was reading the Bible, can you imagine? Then Mr Trump came along, stood in front of a church and held up a big, white Bible. Do you see? He said. Praise God. Take Jesus into your hearts and minds. Trust in Him.

They had to clear the leftards out of the way, of course, but before the big fella, nobody was saying stuff like that - no one. He legalised guns. He secured the border. Executive order after executive order, slashing red tape, making Americans free.

The states have become total despots, it's ridiculous. There's Mr Trump trying to keep the federal government out of ordinary American people's lives, and there's these silly RINO state judges, it's so unfair.

Mr Trump's right. A Massive Fraud of this type and magnitude allows for the termination of all rules, regulations and articles, even those found in the Constitution. They're the rules, leftards.

If you don't like it, take it up with the big fella.

The Colorado Supreme Court ruled Tuesday that former President Trump is disqualified from holding the presidency under the Constitution's so-called insurrection clause.

Is this the same US Supreme Court, Bobby?

I'm curious.

WASHINGTON, Feb 22 (Reuters) - The U.S. Supreme Court on Tuesday brought a formal end to former President Donald Trump's request to block the release of White House records sought by the Democratic-led congressional panel investigating last year's deadly attack on the Capitol by a mob of his supporters.

The court's decision to formally reject Trump's appeal follows its Jan. 19 order that led to the documents being handed over to the House of Representatives investigative committee by the federal agency that stores government and historical records.

Sure, if he needs to sling Brett Kavanaugh, Amy Coney Barrett or Clarence Thomas a bit of a drink, that's his right on a free country, no?

rudis $200M fine bodes badly for his future.

most likely he will not be able to run a business in NY, will get a big fine there, will not be allowed to run a charity organisation anywhere.
It's likely the flow of donations he gets to wage legal battles will dry up. He will not spend his own money on lawyers.
He might go to jail.

No no, he won that hole in one, remember? Nobody at that particular club had had one for over 30 years or something like that. Mr Trump aced it.

You wouldn't see Sleepy Joe getting a hole in one, that's for sure. He'd rather bore us all to death with employment figures and GDP growth.

Who hasn't lied to the FBI, ignored their subpoenas and tried to wipe the surveillance footage after they got busted? Who hasn't sent 40,000 armed rioters into the US Capitol to go wild, show the weak Republicans some strength and take back their country?

You? I? Anybody?

I think not. Don't get too carried away, Dnarever, this is all a big, fat nothing burger, you'll see.
Mr Trump is our law and order candidate.

Check Bobby's posts for proof.

The 13th amendment is pretty clear - it says that Donald can never again hold any office.

That is what I think will happen

Then Nikki Haley will be the Republican nominee and win easily.
I hope she settles and unifies the US.

The Republicans won't put forward a woman as their candidate.

Not in 2024.

In 30 years, maybe.

Not now though.

No problem, Greggery. If they do, Sleepy Joe can promise to LOCK HER UP and spend four more years getting the DOJ to investigate her involvement in child sex-trafficking rings, hunting down her personal emails, asking Russia and Chi-na to release them and going so far as withold Ukrainian military aid to get them to investigate "that Crowdstrike thing" in a perfect call to Zalensky.

Sleepy is perfectly entitled to do all that. How do we know?

Americans should probably be resting easy that
there's NO way that the disgraced former president
will ever be sitting in the Oval Office ever again.
He's a spent force, an old, confused, physically unwell
man, lost in a miasma of self-glorification.

Apparently he's showing physical signs of Parkinson's
disease (which has been discussed here earlier)
and which illness can also negatively affect one's
mental competence—which is beginning to show in
Trump's meandering, disjointed public speeches.

Trump, the front-runner for the Republican nomination for president in next year’s election, said that immigrants were “poisoning the blood of our country.” He pledged to toughen immigration laws, including by reinstating a travel ban from “terror-plagued countries” and requiring “strong ideological screening” for immigrants in the country without authorization.

“They’re poisoning the blood of our country,” he told his supporters in Durham, New Hampshire, referring to immigrants. “That’s what they’ve done. They’ve poisoned mental institutions and prisons all over the world, not just in South America, not just the three or four countries that we think about, but all over the world. They’re coming into our country, from Africa, from Asia, all over the world. Nobody’s even looking at it.”

Including covid the US have done much better under Biden.

Almost all indicators performed better under Biden including covid than under Trump excluding covid or before covid.

The only real substantial thing done by Trump was his unfunded tax cuts for the wealthy and that came back to bite the US on the arse in the form of inflation - Trump was a failure.

I give Trump mixed marks on covid. He rushed in the vaccinations, called it 'Warp Speed.'
For this alone, he gets an A+. He did really well there, some things he warrants praise for.
He also gave every state the right to make their own decisions, correct call.

Then, he said 'the experts said to wear masks, but I am not going to wear a mask, so you make your own mind up on that one.'
Going against experts during a pandemic is foolhardy.
From then on, anyone who knew someone who died from covid had reason to vote against Trump.
I believe had he encouraged americans to wear a mask and worn one himself he wold have won the 2nd election.

Americas death rate during covid were far worse than average on a world stage.
The unvaccinated states were very bad.

Did you trust Dan Andrews when he said he would fix rail crossings and have no more covid lockdowns?

The Supreme Court will almost certainly strike down a decision that has brought shame to the small state’s judiciary, which has a majority of judges appointed by former Democratic governor now senator John Hickenlooper.

“This is what an actual attack on democracy looks like: in an un-American, unconstitutional, and unprecedented decision, a cabal of Democrat judges are barring Trump from the ballot in Colorado,” said Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy on social media soon after the decision, launching what will become a major line of political attack for the GOP.

Democrats have now also ‘weaponised the US constitution’ to strike a leading political candidate off the ballot for alleged crimes that haven’t even been litigated, denying Americans the right even to vote for him.

This will become a huge political error for the ruling party, likely one only to increase Donald Trump’s support further.

Democrats and their backers in the media must soon realise the more desperate and extreme their attempts to stop Trump, the more ammunition they give the former president to claim he’s persecuted out of all proportion to what he actually did.

A second Trump presidency would be very far from ideal. But if that’s what the people want, that’s democracy.

I believe had he encouraged americans to wear a mask and worn one himself he wold have won the 2nd election.

Americas death rate during covid were far worse than average on a world stage.
The unvaccinated states were very bad.

And not only. Mr Trump managed the biggest covid hotspot in the country: the White House. Multiple people died directly from meetings there. His own brother died of covid.

At one event, Mr Trump's pick for the Supreme Court, Amy Coney Barrett, caught covid, along with a number of generals and journalists. Not swayed by this, Mr Trump met with the families of dead veterans, where he went around maskless, kissing them. He boasted that he couldn't stop them from hugging him, people loved their president so much.

When he subsequently caught covid at this event, he recieved his test results: positive. At first, he didn't feel so bad, so he flew off to a debate with Joe Biden. Mr Trump lied on his declaration, and again, refused to wear a mask.

He ordered his daughter and son-in-law to go maskless too, despite strict rules for all audience members. They removed their masks and were the only attendees to do so. Mr Trump stood a few metres from Joe Biden, then 78, knowing he'd tested positive and was at the height of the phase of contagion.

When he was hospitalised, he nearly died. He was pumped with hormone injections, which added to his delusions of grandiosity. He sat with his advisors and plotted his return.

Mr Trump planned a helicopter arrival back at the White House. He would exit the chopper, and stride triumphantly across the South lawn. He would then take the steps up (no leather soled shoes this time), appear at the balcony and stand firm, victorious over death, basking in the cameral flashes of the world. He would remove his shirt and tie - like a male stripper, teasing the crowd - and reveal it to the world: a Superman costume.

Mr Trump knew what covid was doing. He was warned of the dangers of covid before anyone else. The buck stops with him, but do you know?

Forget the absence of leadership. Forget the fake cures, the hydroxychloraquine, the Ivermectin, the fake Physicians For America, the injections of disinfectant to do a number on the lungs and the attempt to turn federal public health briefings into celebrity reality TV. Forget even the thousands of people who died from attending his maskless political rallies.

While we were holed up, socially isolating, especially if we ever, God forbid, caught covid, the big fella was personally, directly infecting people, adding new numbers to the US death toll.

Needless to say, it was the highest death toll in the world. No other country even came close.

Ever wonder why?

The well founded decision that Trump is an insurrectionist will very likely stand. The decision was well founded based on fact and almost impossible to overturn.

The 14th amendment third clause makes it clear that Donald Trump is not able to hold office in the US.

The supreme court should and very likely will support the decision. Apart from anything else it removes rubbish from politics and gived the republicans the ability to recover from their long term disgrace.

For this alone, he gets an A+. He did really well there, some things he warrants praise for.

Nah.

Pfizer notably did not accept government money to develop, test or expand manufacturing capacity under Trump’s Operation Warp Speed initiative to quickly find a vaccine and treatments for the disease sweeping the country.

In fact, Pfizer partnered with the vaccine’s original developer, Germany’s BioNTech, in March and the following month announced the first human study in Germany. The White House announced Operation Warp Speed in May.

Oh, old boy, so unfair!

If America was any other country, there is no way a guy who told a crowd to storm the parliament and go wild would even be eligible to stand, never mind run.

His current criminal charges would prevent him running for a seat under our own constitution, never mind various party policies. Your DL could not even stand for the Bankstown Local Council, never mind PM.

The US constitution doesn't even bar criminals. DL has to have committed insurrection, which as ruled in Arizona, he has.

The Supreme Court will be required to take this ruling into account. It's not going to be easy for Clarence Thomas to pocket a week at Bedminster and a dinner with the big fella in return. It's not going to be easy for Amy Coney Barrett to accept the promise of an executive order on trannies in the military or whatever other weird Opus Dei deal she tries to make in return.

Those Supreme Court judges are going to be forced to lay their cards on the table. If I was them, I'd be wanting this one sent straight back to Arizona to sort out, but alas, the stakes are way too high.

The Arizona ruling won't stop there. The swing states are now all open for business, depending on their respective rules.

Sure it would be luverly to see your DL get done in an election fair and square, but he's done the crime, he needs to do the time. By the rules of Arizona, he's not fit to run.

Rule of law, innit.

The 14th amendment was Passed by Congress June 13, 1866. It was a republican house.

Nothing to do with the current government.

This is the result of the constitution and Trumps actions.

Ramaswamy really is a moron (and absolute scumbag).

“This is what an actual attack on democracy looks like: in an un-American, unconstitutional, and unprecedented decision, a cabal of Democrat judges are barring Trump from the ballot in Colorado,” said Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy.

Donald Trump - the rapist who stole money from kids' cancer charities - is disqualified from state ballots under section 3 of the 14th Amendment of the Constitution of the United States.

It couldn't be more American or more constitutional.

Thankfully, Ramaswamy has no chance of becoming President either.

The three dissenting justices each wrote separately. The most interesting came from Justice Carlos Samour Jr., who said barring Trump from the ballot without legislation from Congress implementing Section 3 violates Trump’s due process rights, especially because Trump has not been charged with insurrection.

“More broadly, I am disturbed about the potential chaos wrought by an imprudent, unconstitutional, and standardless system in which each state gets to adjudicate Section Three disqualification cases on an ad hoc basis,” Samour wrote. “Surely, this enlargement of state power is antithetical to the framers’ intent.”
...

But there is no world in which the justices [of the SCOTUS] are going to empower states to throw Trump off their ballots. Given that, the court should keep in mind: This is a moment it should aspire to be the unanimous court of Brown v. Board of Education, not the splintered, party-line body of Bush v. Gore.

On that score, it was fitting that the Colorado court’s ruling arrived on the day of the memorial service for Justice Sandra Day O’Connor, who was reliably reported to have regretted her vote with the Bush v. Gore majority.

“Probably the Supreme Court added to the problem at the end of the day,” O’Connor told the Chicago Tribune in 2013. That is a good test for the current court. Will its eventual ruling — and one seems unavoidable — add to the problem or help resolve it?

covid was effectively unmanageable in a country like america, that is an insane position to suggest anyone else would have been any different. look at the titanic struggle it was in australia of all places, a country with no land borders and relatively few entry/exit points, and relatively homogeneous inter-state politics. the red states would never have accepted lockdowns at all and that alone would have doomed the entire country to covid spread.

i don't give a f_ck about the rest sorry

Did you trust Dan Andrews when he said he would fix rail crossings and have no more covid lockdowns?

Did you trust ScoMo when he said he was just PM and not the minister for everything else?

You don't trust politicians ever, Bobby, so I'm curious. Why do you trust DL when you know he's lying to you directly?

covid was effectively unmanageable in a country like america, that is an insane position to suggest anyone else would have been any different. look at the titanic struiggle it was in australia of all places, a country with no land borders and relatively few entry/exit points, and relatively homogeneous inter-state politics. the red states would never have accepted lockdowns at all and that alone would have doomed the entire country to covid spread.

It's business puffery - quite legal.

Advertising puffery is the legal use of exaggeration and boasting by companies to advertise their products. Claims made are so exaggerated, no reasonable person would believe them to be literally true.

No worries, then we'll compare the US to a similar developed federation. The states run health in both countries. In one country, a fully functional commonwealth united the states in an informal "federal cabinet". That country suffered 992 deaths per million people.

America copped 3,384. The difference?

Leadership. America was led by an executive administration that publicly shunned masks, defunded states who had lockdowns, spruiked injections of bleach to do a number on the lungs and ran a social media misinformation campaign against its own director of Disease Control. Resources were distributed according to political allegiance and just how effusive governors were prepared to be in their praise and political endorsement of their DL.

The other country had a functional Westminster system that left the responsibility for health in the hands of state ministers and health secretaries. The role of the feds was to support and coordinate those tasked with doing their jobs. Resources were allocated according to need, or as the French scientific socialist Henri Saint-Simon put it, from each according to his means, to each according to his needs.

Therein you see the difference in such political systems, JC. A 300% difference in the value of their respective citizens' lives, yes, but something more as well.

Can you spot the difference?

which country was that .....? you talking about australia yeah? why didn't you just list the country you were comparing to the u.s to rather than play this cryptic bullchit?

yeah -- i already told you why the death rate was way lower here -- way fewer international entrance points, no land borders whatsoever, 25m people overwhelmingly concentrated in a handful of urban nodes vs. 330m people in a highly decentralised country, homogenous state politics that effectively behave as though the country is a unitary state rather than a federation. there are no political differences here and all the states colluded in preventing the olds from karking it maybe 1-1.5 years earlier than they would have had lockdown not been implemented, and now we're all happy campers with all the inflation and economic turmoil that has contributed to creating.

i literally cited "political system" as an explanation for the differential between australia and the u.s -- which predominantly means significant political differences between the states and attitudes towards these things in general. trump may have been able to mitigate a few more of those deaths, but it would have been nearly impossible regardless given the unique attitude of americans towards not being told what to do. i think you know this, these r_tards won't even brook giving up their assault rifles to prevent kids from getting killed in schools

imagine thinking missisippi, florida, alabama, etc. would all be willing to listen to a democratic president telling them to lockdown and close their state borders though (and that assumes that would even be judicially possible in america - unlike the courts here that just rubber stamp whatever the government wants), it would have made almost no difference whatsoever whoever was in charge.

you know heaps of people are still dying from the rona now right? the only difference is no one cares and no one is checking or testing for it anymore. do you still wear a mask or did the pantomime and novelty of it wear off for you too?

Good point, JC. It's too hard to run a country like America. Imagine, they saved more lives in India.

On the upside, the Yanks managed to keep the tinted races out for three years with title 42, so it's even-Steven, no?

imagine thinking that a country like india with a median age of of 28 is comparable to the u.s, a country which also has the highest obesity rate in the world

remember what the two biggest aggravating comorbidities of covid were? did you even know in the first place? or have you forgotten? there's a reason why sub-saharan africa was effectively unimpacted by it

>also assuming that indian statistics would be as accurate as a first world country LoL

By that idiotic paki 'logic', Africa has the best political and governance system in the world.

Not at all, dear boy. I believe the Africans were saved by their genetic congruence with apes.

How did the African Americans fare?

he said "the western world" which australia is a tiny % of the entirety of

doesnt seem to be true whatsoever, in fact there are quite a few countries in the western world with a higher death rate than the u.s

if you look closely at the inter country comparisons a large number of western countries cluster roughly around ~3000 deaths per million, which is fairly close to the u.s rate. only countries like australia represent relative outliers and thats bc we were willing to pursue the most hilariously egregious human-rights-violation-o-thon outside of china to achieve it, all so that grandma can live an extra 6 months in front of her tv in the nursing home with meals on wheels

Shurley shome mishtake.

If you've ever disagreed with your DL, dear boy, you've certainly kept it to yourself.

What, exactly, do you disagree upon?

The tacky ceiling frescoes in the Trump penthouse? The fake Renoir? The furniture? Which?

Medication time, arse bandit.  Your twitch is out of control.

I see, then you agree.

So why didn't you just say that to begin with, dear boy? Why play all toosh magroosh?

You obey your DL, as is your right as a foreign citizen.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but you flew here, ja?

Anything so unfair you'd care to object to here?

which country was that .....? you talking about australia yeah? why didn't you just list the country you were comparing to the u.s to rather than play this cryptic bullchit?

yeah -- i already told you why the death rate was way lower here -- way fewer international entrance points, no land borders whatsoever, 25m people overwhelmingly concentrated in a handful of urban nodes vs.

Mississippi, Florida and Alabama did exactly what they were told by their DLs.

As did New Yorkers and Californians. Those states had significant differences in deaths, but do you know?

Just like Aussie Aussie Aussie, the timing of the lockdowns and the vaxes saved the day. Americans would have lined up for their clot shots like good little automatons if their leaders rolled up their sleeves and did the same.

You know which leaders. Not being too cryptic am I, dear?

not everyone is like australians and just does whatever people tell them to do, whether that's a good or a bad thing is up to you though

It's not up to me, dear, it's down to the data.

By your own measure, your jolly united states saw three times the deaths as us.

That's not because of any fixed, immutable law of death, it's because their leaders didn't follow the medical advice, freely given.

Don't pretend it's all about individual freedom, it's about incentives. We're talking hundreds of thousands of deaths here. In America, every family knows someone killed by covid.

We don't. Quite simply, we have a superior leadership model. The jury's in.

Ever get the feeling you've been farmed?

Colorado Supreme Court Demands Jack Phillips Bake Cake To Celebrate Trump Ruling

DENVER, CO — In a 4-3 decision, the Colorado Supreme Court will require Masterpiece Cakeshop owner Jack Phillips to bake a celebration cake honoring the Colorado Supreme Court's decision to remove Trump from the ballot.

"The cake must have the words 'Dump Trump' in giant red letters," said Justice Richard Gabriel in his opinion. "No wait — have it say DRUMPF! HA! Classic. And put some little rainbow flags and Palestinian flags all over it. It is the opinion of the court that failure to bake this cake for us constitutes illegal discrimination."

Justice Gabriel then banged his gavel loudly to make it official.

Not satire.

I know, right? I hear American judges are pretty tough on crime, old boy. They like to bang their gavels ever so.

Justice Gabriel is referring to the Trump family's legal name, a German one with Nazi connections on the paternal side. The Palestinian flags represent the big fella's hatred of Bibi and his reference to Hezbollah being really smart.

He's suggesting the cake so that Mr Trumpf won't get all toosh and blame the court for doing its job.

It's not true. Wombat's referring to the eight million people reported to have entered America illegally over the past three presidential administrations.

If true, it would make his DL inelligible again.

It certainly is a constitutional breach.

Article 4 Section 4 of the U.S. Constitution states: The United States shall guarantee to protect every State against invasion;

This was to guarantee that each state of the union was protected against invasion by foreign nations, revolutionary forces, drug cartels and uncontrolled (illegal) immigration.  If we cannot control our borders we cannot defend our national sovereignty…..it's that simple.

Do they really want to push the case into the election window? I would think that the threat of Trump sitting in court the same day that the people were voting would be rather significant grounds to get it done.

Unfortunately it looks like the supreme court will delay till after Trump is locked in on the ballots. It isn't resolved about what happens if they find Trump an insurrectionist between then and the election.

One scenario would be that Trump stands as the Republican representative in the election but cannot take up the position of president if he were to win the election.

Mr Trump was our 45th prez. Who elected them?

Mr Trump should bus a whole heap of illegals up to Maine - see how they like that. Better yet, pick out all the retarded spastic ones and send them up to the Maine Secretary of State's house - without their colostomy bags!

When Mr Trump gets in, he can defund Maine, lock them up, make them pay him, whatever he wants. That's the law - all rules, laws and orders, including those in the constitution, can be terminated. That's fair. Is Mr Trump going to be a dictator?

Hell yeah! On day one, he's going to build the wall, lock them up, send them back and drill, baby, drill.

Nonsense. You think Mr Trump doesn't have an ace up his sleeve to use when the leftards play these kinds of tricks? We're talking four dimensional chess here, Greggery.

Mr Trump has the Supreme Court of America. All he has to do is tell them how to vote. As prez, that's his right. It's called executive privilege.

The Supteme Court has to do what Mr Trump says, that's the law. This Secretary of State woman is toast. The Supreme Court will give her life in jail for this, you'll see - if the base doesn't get to her first.

We'll have to wait and see what happens.

And also, at this stage, he has a real chance of winning the general election - if I had to put money on it today I'd put everything on the rapist Donald Trump.

Not personally.

Whilst I predict that Trump will win the electoral college votes needed to become President, I also predict that he will lose the popular vote for a third time.

His return to the White House will not be what the majority want.

But, that's elections for you.

I won't be surprised, that's for sure.

At this stage he will be the GOP candidate - nobody else has a chance (despite aquascoot claiming that Meatball Ron will beat the rapist).

And also, at this stage, he has a real chance of winning the general election - if I had to put money on it today I'd put everything on the rapist Donald Trump.

So, how will I react if my prediction comes true?  I guess I'll say "I told you so".

Oh, so you will not be leaving the forum, as you promised if he won in 2016, dishonest creep.

Trump announced his bid for a second term as president in November
and has since launched multiple attacks on DeSantis.
Donald Trump on Saturday said he wouldn't use the nickname “Meatball Ron”
to describe Ron DeSantis, a likely rival for the Republican presidential nomination in 2024.

That's nice of him, Bobby. It shows what a good sport Mr Trump is.

Just think, Meatball continues to run, after everything Mr Trump did for him. He's flailing in the gubernorial election, so he goes to Mr Trump - tears in his eyes- saying sir, if I could just get your endorsement, I think we could do it.

Now he's down by, I don't know, like a lot, a complete loser, and Mr Trump says, do you know? I think we can do this, let's give it a go.

So Desanctis gets in, and this is the thanks Mr Trump gets. Talk about a swamp, right?

So yeah, I think the big fella's being pretty gracious not calling him Meatball. If I was Mr Trump, I'd be calling him every name in the book. Who'd stand up for Ron?

RINOs, swamp-dwellers, low-energy types like Jeb Bush. And Aquascoot.

He'll come around, you'll see. Why drink New Coke when you can have the original?

We will make America great again, no?

Colorado Bans Trump From Running Over Concerns Usual Election Rigging System Could Fail

DENVER, CO — Facing critics over their 4-3 decision to remove Trump from the presidential ballot in 2024, Colorado's Supreme Court insisted it was a necessary step due to concerns the usual election rigging system could fail.

"I know we have all the normal rigging techniques available to us, but we're worried that
Trump's lead could grow so much that those efforts will fail to protect our democracy as they did in 2020," said Justice Richard Gabriel. "Rest assured, we will not rest until we save democracy by making it completely illegal to vote for Trump. You're welcome, America!"

Pollsters confirmed that even with classic rigging measures like hackable voting machines, unmonitored drop-boxes, illegal immigrants, ballot harvesting, and universal mail-in voting, it may still not be enough to stop Trump from being reelected. Experts are urging unelected Judges to put additional measures in place.

At publishing time, Trump had responded by vowing to build a wall around Denver.

Not satire.

Last week, the Colorado Supreme Court found in a 4-3 decision that Trump was “disqualified from holding the office of President” because he participated in an insurrection. Maine Secretary of State Shenna Bellows (D) reached the same conclusion on Thursday, writing in her decision that the Jan. 6 attack “occurred at the behest of, and with the knowledge and support of, the outgoing President.”

The Colorado Republican Party has asked the U.S. Supreme Court to review the Colorado decision, and Trump is expected to do the same as soon as Tuesday. Trump has said he will also soon appeal the Maine decision to state court.
