Moved because topic isn't hunting or fishing.

Clay target shooting is an Olympic sport.

Those who are licensed for clay target shooting cannot go hunting with their shotgun they can only shoot clay targets.

From your link

Quote:
He was charged with high-range drink-driving, not keeping a firearm safe and using a firearm while under the influence of alcohol.

On Thursday, at Raymond Terrace Local Court, Magistrate Caleb Franklin handed Diamond a conviction for the offences and told him the handling of a firearm while intoxicated carried a maximum of five years' imprisonment.

He issued a good behaviour bond for 12 months, but he warned Diamond that if he reoffends he may go to jail.

He wasn't using the shotgun he had it in his car when done for drink driving.

It was assumed because he was drunk he would handle shotgun in his car when taking it inside to put in his safe.

He couldn't leave shotgun in his car that would not satisfy safe keeping of firearm.

A good behaviour bond for any offence revokes firearms license.

"Even if I were to accept genuine remorse and commitment to reformed behaviour, the tribunal cannot ignore the applicant's history," the judgement stated."

It's a pity this doesn't apply to real criminals before they get paroled, how many have gone on to commit heinous crimes, all because a parole board accepted they have reformed and showing some remorse

They've applied it to a passive Olympian, but will they apply it to potentially dangerous parolees in the future?

The Parole Board and the NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal are different entities.
Diamond is a prick but this decision is ridiculous.
It smacks of spite.

He could hardly be in the same category as a DV murderer
