The strikes against the Yemeni Houthis have signalled the start of full-scale war by the West against the Iranian regime.
US and Britain launch strikes against Houthi targets in Yemen in retaliation for Red Sea attacks https://www.abc.net.au/news/2024-01-12/britain-joins-strikes-against-houthi-rebels/103312432 |

Excellent - as long as this action is followed through until the ability of Iran to supply weapons to these groups (and to Russia) is negated.

It is a proxy war to put the mullahs of the Iranian regime on notice that they're next. |

Agreed. Meantime...Israel (along with USA/UK backup) needs to continue hammering Hamas' members/supporters. Hopefully these 3 super powers will extinguish Hamas once and for all in that region SOON. |

Saudi Arabia hasn't managed to stop the war in Yemen for a very long time. Iran somehow supplied weapons to the rebels there. Can the USA and the UK stop them? |

The West is coming to the aid of Sunni Arab states and Israel in an attempt to crush attempted Shia regional hegemony as imagined by the Iranian regime. Hopefully, the Western powers have learned something from the debacle in Iraq that saw Shia power increase. |

Careful, S. Arabia and Iran have re-established diplomatic relations, you could end up driving S. Arabia away from establishing diplomatic relations with Israel. |

Not a chance. Sunnis and Shia hate each other more than Jews, apostates and infidels combined. |

Since the Hamas attack in southern Israel, and Israel's response, the Houthis started their recent bombing campaign into the gulf at any ship they think is registered with a country that supports Israel.
What happened around the 12th was that the Houthis shelled a US naval vessel which warranted an immediate response from the US (and the UK). The US/UK retaliation was a warning to the Iranian regime. |

And now this, as a war against Iran inches closer...
Iran is attempting to provoke the US into a full-scale hot war in the Middle East. The question is... How will the US respond to an Iran-backed drone attack killing American troops in Jordan? https://www.abc.net.au/news/2024-01-30/will-the-us-attack-iran-after-drone-strike-in-jordan/103403110 |

I blame Appeaser -in -Chief Sheikh Hussein Obama. He loosened the sanctions on the mad mullas, gave them a long leash and a pallet loads of cash.
And look what they have done with it. |

It seems provoking wars cuts both ways - either by direct attack or by giving the enemy enough rope... |
