Shows that the US government is committed to AUKUS and understands the necessity of keeping a continuous building programme running. This has been a huge fault in all Australia's naval building projects.

I seem to remember deciding not to work on the project and instead decided to stay at Cocatoo Dockyard until it was shut down.

Australia is just paying the cost. US will command the subs and Australians will be emptying the ashtrays and cleaning the latrines.

Australia will not actually own the submarines, Australia will just pay their purchase price and operating expenses.

The USA will control the submarines and decide who will be killed by them.

Australians will not be allowed access to any.

It is the truth.

The US will not allow Australia any control or access to secret technology.

Australia will just get the privilege of naming the submarines and making the false claim that Australia owns them.

This facility is now home to 100,000 tonnes of low-level radioactive and chemical waste. It may serve as a blueprint for the Commonwealth :o
