Title: America Day
Post by chimera on Jan 22nd, 2024 at 4:20pm
From January 26 the US started its whaling interest in Australia and in 1791 a British-US whale-ship was authorised in Sydney. Today the US has 1.8 million prisoners but the First Fleet did well with 700 convicts. All Australians are young and free so Australia Day is for boat-people in detention centres who will go to jail for the day. The others will pretend it's the 4th of July. or January or something.

It's obvious your typing can't keep up with what's on your mind.  ;D

There weren't type-writers in 1788. Between 1718 and 1775 over 52,000 convicts were transported from the British Isles to America, mainly to Maryland and Virginia, to be sold as slaves to the highest bidder. Yanks celebrate freedom from $10 poms and sending them to Oz. But the Royal Navy captured rebels and made them fight in British ships so Britons never, never will be slaves. Not in the Battle of Brisbane, anyway.

Good point, Chimera. Due to the silly old American revolution, Mother needed a new spot for her proles.

So in 1787, King George settled on Aussie Aussie Aussie.

Back then, it was called Van Diemen's Land, poor things. Bound for Botany Bay.

Be nice to your Boongs, George said. And put those poles to work. We can't have them shitting and breeding and filling up our cities, now can we? We already have enough proles to work the mills. Ee-gad, they're outbreeding us.

So we'll try them and sentence them and transport them to the colonies, Godspeed.

The Septics won't take them, they hate us. Besides, they now have slaves. Fit young bucks branded by Mother.

Down in VD land, they can have rum, Sodomy and the lash, yes?

Rule of law, innit. Ah, the good old days.

Colonialism ended far too soon, no?
