Title: Rich People's Insanity?
Post by AusGeoff on Jan 27th, 2024 at 5:44pm

Number plates NSW ‘1’ and Queensland ‘Q1’ sell for millions, smashing records.

It was the number plate State of Origin (LOL),
with Queensland's most valuable combination
selling for more than $5.65 million, while
NSW's number '1' plate sold for more than
$11.5 million.

—This is one of the most absurd auction results I think I've
ever had the displeasure of seeing.  It makes me angry when
I think of the thousands of homeless people living in cardboard
boxes under bridges.

And the cost of building a Victorian primary school is around
$7 million.  So... which is better value, AND a better use of our
society's financial  pool?

It's pathetic. Right up with those 'ridiculous' amounts spent on Art in Europe like millions to just see a painting of a red-balloon being shredded.  ::)

This planet is over-populated by plebs and ruled by stupid 'over-indulgent' people.

Why do you, somehow,  doubt that the noble governments that collect those millions do not spend it on he homeless and the needy?

What do YOU think the noble governments spend that money on?
