My best guess prediction is that the Appellate Court will knock down the $475 Million number to ± $175 million covered by the bond....based on the recent reduction of the bond. That's how I read it....I've seen this type of activity in the Appellate Courts before ;)

Trump must still come up with the full amount unless it is reduced on appeal....The real problem for Trump is his reputation keeps taking a beating as his house of lies come tumbling down....When Trump has to pay $175 million dollars and his supporters claim it is a win, it doesn't bode well for the former disgraced President who is facing far worse charges....A huge financial loss is still a win in MAGA land!!!

No, the most important factor of this reduction is that the bond was required in order for President Trump to be able to submit his appeals to the imposition of the fines & the size of the fines.....once the "newly reduced bond" is paid in full, the numerous appeals can be filed & heard by the Appeals Courts. It also stays the payment subject to the outcomes of all appeals.....probably way down the road. The size of most fines similar to these are very often reduced by the courts....sometimes down to a mere shell of the original, if not reduced altogether. We will just have to wait & see.....& wait we will.....wait & see. I suspect until a time after the November Elections are past.

We have seen President Joe Biden violate a ruling of the Supreme Court that blocked him from using taxpayer funds, some from people who, for whatever reason, did not participate in higher education, to pay off the student loans amounting to $138 billion of other people who did.

We have seen governmental violations of the First Amendment -- from Soviet-style whispers to Facebook to quash the contents of Hunter Biden's laptop by declaring falsely – knowingly so, it turned out – that the material in it supposedly had "all the earmarks of a Russian disinformation campaign,"to calling true medical information false during the COVID-19 pandemic. The first maneuver was election interference -- probably decisive in undermining the integrity of the 2020 election. The false medical information disseminated by the government, depriving the ill of alternative medicines -- may have cost countless lives.

Sadly, as of late, we have been witnessing even more governmental abuse of power, astronomically out of control, by individuals elected or appointed to safeguard our laws and our Constitution, but who have been disregarding them at best and upending them at worst, specifically in the treatment of individuals who supposedly walked through "the people's house" on January 6, 2021, and most recently in disfiguring the Eighth Amendment to our Constitution to prosecute not a crime, but a person. The Eighth Amendment, in its entirety, states:

"Excessive bail shall not be required, nor excessive fines imposed, nor cruel and unusual punishments inflicted."
