United States of America had 2,912,402 deaths recorded in 2023. They consume abot 50 billion hamburgers a year. Bread and beef are as toxic as brown snakes and box jellyfish (which have no nutritional value but are free).

Quote:
Documentary filmmaker Morgan Spurlock, an Oscar-nominee who made food and American diets his life's work, famously eating only at McDonald's for a month to illustrate the dangers of a fast-food diet, has died. He was 53.

Spurlock died Thursday in New York from complications related to cancer, according to a statement issued Friday by his family.

I had my first Maccas meal last night in a long time. Ate my meal in the car, and then fell asleep. One of the thoughts I had before I fell asleep was if Spurlock ever fell asleep after eating a meal after going through a drive-thru.

It feels like the lack of a fatty and sugary diet in the past 10 days has led me to having a weird sleep patterns. But, last night's consumption of Maccas had left me needing to sleep that off. My diabetes has not adjusted to the lack of sugar in my system, yet.

Probably contributed to his early demise.

His experiment probably did a certain amount of damage to some of his vital organs.

Yes - I believe that all those fats can be carcinogenic.    :o

The good old Aussie fish and chips came in newspaper with lead poisoning and printers ink cancer.  The fat pooled around the greasy health hazard, covered in salt and worn out cooking oil.

Definitely. It has been a while since I did a study on this. But, the more fat percentage on your body, the more likely you are to develop cancer. I am trying to go sober for as long as I can. There is suggestion that the amount of damage I have done to my body has been enough to trigger a higher likelihood of me developing cancer. Spurlock had battled alcoholism, too. So, maybe his alcoholism was what triggered his cancer.

I believe that just walking past a Maccas "restaurant" can be carcinogenic.

I am in my forties and I try to limit the amount of junk food I eat. I won't ever eat at McDonalds or many fast food restaurants when I turn 50. Why a man in his 70s would even consider eating McDonalds is beyond my understanding. Is he depressed? Is he trying to comfort himself with fast food? I thought Donald Trump would have died after the election. But he seems immortal.
