Just my two cents, but I find it beyond absurd that North Korean athletes are allowed to compete under the “official” name of their country - the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK). I mean, calling it a farce doesn’t do it justice. This is the least democratic country on the planet. They should just be called “North Korea”, not end of story. Am I the only one who thinks this?

The IOC says it will not invite Russia and Belarus to the 2024 Olympics in Paris. In a statement issued last month, Russia's national judo federation said its athletes would decline to compete.

First of all, no Russian or Belarusian athletes should've been allowed to compete at all under any banner. Secondly, surely you can see the sick joke in calling North Korea the DEMOCRATIC People's Republic of Korea. Right?
