Despite the Ukraine War, Ukraine invading and expanding a foothold inside ruzzia and the election for POTUS in a grw weeks it doesn’t seem like there is all that much activity here? Looking at the last post list seems to support that assumption.
Is there anything we can do to increase activity here? Might do a search to see how this place is faring. |

There has been more than enough news and events in our world for a long time.
There are not enough active forum members. As for me, I cannot speak intelligently on many issues of Australia and the United States, because I am not familiar with their situation and the context of their politics, customs and culture. I can open up more topics about Russia here, but it is not clear whether it will be interesting enough for the forum members here. |

I'm interested. We could discuss how poison was used in Soviet times and recently. That is a technical skill in Russia.

Au contraire, TYI™, OzPol is not doing well. It is obvious post count is way down on say a year ago. With Gaza, Ukraine invading ruzzia and the US election post count should be way up.
No surprised an idiot like you doesn’t notice what is going on, dumbarse! |
Title: Re: How active is OzPol? Post by Jovial Monk on Aug 29th, 2024 at 5:11pm
Looking at the last 20 posts I reckon only 250 posts were made in the last 24 hours. Five years ago there would have been double or triple that with a lot more active members.

People like me don't have full-time jobs. I have been an active member here since 2012. However, I have been neglecting my second job prospects. Guess what I have been doing with my time in the last 4 years? |

Yeah yeah, I am not blaming members here but this place is on a downward spiral. It can be rescued.

Wow, I can’t connect to yabbforum.com at all. They gone?
In any case, it is high time we moved to modern board software. |

YABB is about to fall over:

So YABB is standing still—apparently there are hardly any staff to work on the software anymore.
Unfortunately—the rest of the web is moving forward and at some stage YABB will just stop working when the software running the board software gets upgraded. Since the search here is pathetic some up to date software would offer many benefits besides just survival. |
Title: Re: How active is OzPol? Post by Jovial Monk on Aug 30th, 2024 at 12:40pm
Seems YABB needs PERL software and hosting companies are starting to not want PERL on their servers.
Really sounds like it is time to move to something better and more modern. |

An illustration of how OzPol is heading to the drainhole.

A post I made at 1.22pm was still visible at 5.55pm! A tiny 20 posts in the whole afternoon? See what I mean about post count declining? Need to create more interest to attract more members! Reduce the miles long front page Boot non-performing MRB Mods like the idiot not modding Environment! Get rid of the sewer it—has only OzPol members as members there so reduces advertising revenue here. It has lost all worth YEARS ago! Move to new software—and my offers of a $100 or $200 contribution stand. This is now urgent! YABB might fall over any moment! |

I don't think you want to increase the public image of this place. It survives being on the fringe and not shining a spotlight on what's posted here. |

Concur. This forum is remarkable as far as freedom of speech and expression goes and increasing traffic will put it on the radar of government and special groups interested in curtailing said freedoms and in thought control. Security by obscurity works well. |

It's already happening though. This place has been monitored by the Executive Council Australian Jewry, or at least it was from 2012 given the antisemitic comments that find a home here. I've seen posts on Reddit about this place too, especially around the voice and racism. This place is all public, there is no obscurity, not for those posting anyway. It's interesting to think that one day the anonymity some people think they have here when calling for the genocide of certain races or people of a certain faith, it might come back to haunt them. |

Obviously his usual 'reaction' of hate against Ozpol when he shoots himself in the foot again to receive another ban. |

Pretty active - some of its policy ideas mooted become mainstream - seen it with my own eyes.
Some very words used here appear on national television out of the mouths of politicians and pundits ... Lessee now (I'm battling a heavy cold with headache so bear with me:- Which policies do we NEED here? Hmmm... 1. Need to ask the people what they want in terms of immigration. 2. Bringing out of control Aboriginal issues under control by the same standards as applied to everyone else. 3. Reverse Boat People Policy for recalcitrants and criminals 4. Immediate deportation of criminals without further ado. 5. Enough of this Native title nonsense, and clearing it all up once and for all 6. A full study and full and proper review of the 'transgender' fantasy and what it is actually costing people. 7. Enough of the affirmative action and policies of exclusion and division and discrimination. Anyway - there's a lot more... and no, darlings - I haven't turned on Sky news for weeks.... I know they already check here to get the views of The Noble Dissenters.... The Knights Templar of Online Media, lead by very poor leaders. |

How active is OzPol?
Not very, compared to some time ago. Daily post count is declining from 300/day to 200/day. How that affects FD’s advertising revenue I don’t know or care. |
