Title: 2024 is looking like 2016 Hillary Clinton loss Post by Laugh till you cry on Sep 12th, 2024 at 2:19pm
Hillary Clinton had a lead before election day and she blew it.
Harris has a lead 7+ weeks out. Will she blow it? Nobody in the world needs more of the same Genocide Joe Biden chaos, hatred, enmity, genocide, mass murder, and burgeoning debt from Genocide Joe Biden's criminal accomplice Kamala Harris. Trump is disruptive but more of the same is not The people of the world have had enough of more of the same. |

The Electoral College doesn't side with any party. Their votes are dictated by the poll results in their region. Harris still has risks for an October surprise to upset her progress. The voters didn't want Genocide Joe Biden and they don't want more of the same from Harris. If Harris becomes just more of Genocide Joe Biden she will lose. |

In 2016 I did not want Hillary to win. I did not trust her.
In 2020 I was not keen on Biden and tended against Trump. Neither choice looked good. Biden did much better than I thought. This year I want trump to lose by a lot. I want the republic party to be decimated. |

The Electoral College did exactly what it has always done: skew the popular vote to avoid domination of the most populous states. If the US federal political system has made a permanent 'deal with the devil' with the existence of an electoral college, why is it not extended to include extra electoral votes to account for the popular vote? |

Conservatism that serves to exploit the people, not help them, will always need ways to make the system favour them, otherwise they'd never be elected anywhere in the world.
Pointing to the popular vote can help people understand this, but ultimately is a waste of time if the goal is to actually change the outcome of a given election. What is interesting in the current US election, is how Harris shows how trivially easy it is to exploit and manipulate Trump. Other world leaders like those from Russia, North Korea and even Hungary, all you need to do puff his ego. But the other side of that is his obsession with rally crowd sizes which we all knew, but she exposed in the debate. Because of this, he isn't campaigning as hard in the states where his rally attendance may not be great, the swing states, for fear of there being photos of small crowds. This is hurting his chances. His ego is a massive weakness that could cost him the election. |

yes, I agree. I never said they only did it this time. The electoral colleges role is to screw democracy. |
