Check out this video.
The guy does a bodgy repair job on a motorcycle brake lever that is broken in half.

It must be illegal to do a job like that.
Brake systems have to be approved with Govt. compliance regulations.
That lever is not approved and is dangerous -
it could break in half just when it's needed in an emergency.
