Although the actual total is elusive, over 37,000 Chinese nationals were detained on the border with Mexico last year, according to the U.S. Customs and Border Protection. This figure is 10 times greater than in pre-pandemic years.



Inexplicably, there are no Australian nationals detained at the Mexico-US  order.  :o

Note: the previously fast Chinese growth** (a 'miracle' according to the World Bank), necessary on the path to full employment AND eradication of poverty, was stopped in its tracks by Trump's trade war beginning in 2018, and continued by Biden.
