The Herald previously published a lengthy investigation detailing multiple allegations of indecent assault; several men accused him of preying on them while he held positions of power as a teacher and a broadcaster.

Jones has repeatedly denied those allegations. In December, he threatened to sue the Herald, which is published by Nine Entertainment, the owner of The Australian Financial Review and 2GB.

Men interviewed by the Herald, including former 2GB employees – Jones hosted a high-rating breakfast program for almost two decades – had alleged they had been groped, grabbed and kissed.

In a statement on Monday, NSW Police said detectives in the child abuse squad had “arrested a man following an investigation into alleged indecent assault and sexual touching offences spanning two decades”.


The taskforce, Strike Force Bonnefin, had investigated “a number of alleged indecent assaults and sexual touching incidents between 2001 and 2019”, the police said, adding that a man had been arrested on Monday.

Earlier this year, Jones said he was taking an extended break from hosting his right-wing online talk show – which started after he left 2GB and Sky News – to overcome “urgent health issues”. He has not returned to the online show, on Australian Digital Holdings TV.

“Contrary to what has been written about me, I have been home for some time, consulting with doctors,” he said. His specialist, he said, had rated his current health as “poor”, Jones told News Corp at the time.

Alan Jones has been charged with 24 offences
against eight alleged victims spanning two decades after a lengthy police investigation into allegations of indecent assault and sexual touching incidents.

The broadcaster and former Wallabies coach was arrested at his luxury Circular Quay apartment on Monday morning over allegations he indecently assaulted, groped or inappropriately touched multiple young men.

Jones has been charged with 11 counts of aggravated indecent assault, nine counts of assault with an act of indecency, two counts of sexually touching another person without their consent, and two counts of common assault.

He was granted conditional bail and
will face Downing Centre Local Court on December 18.

Alan Jones is a well-known documented pedophile. Many years ago he was spotted chasing young boys in London public toilets.

The thing is - was he 'chasing young boys' or linking up with young men of consent age - a different thing altogether.

If they were somehow forced, then why was the 'linking' done in public toilets and how?  It's not like they were invited on a voyage on his boat.... far from shore ... and then raped...

You need to ask questions about the Wood royal commission.

They spent the first third looking for police corruption and found a senior officer who was accused by a known corrupt officer of having an envelope put in his draw with no way to know if it were true. The found a few other officers all appointed under the previous administration. Also a cop who was a bodybuilder with personal drug problems.(committed suicide). At that point they ran out of steam and spent a third of their time looking into unrelated pedeophilia - well worth investigating but it had nothing to do with this royal commission at all. They were simply marking time finding a way to not investigate the police. They spent 3 months chasing Dolly Dunn around Asia. They finish their investigation off with some almost meaningless work on several nothing police sections where they protected some who didn't deserve it and prosecuted others who had seemed to rort stuff like overtime, which wasn't really true. Basically they got some small fish and some guys who were likely innocent.

What were they doing with pedeophiles in this, it never had anything to do with what they were meant to be doing?

What were they hiding what were they covering up what police activity was it that they were not investigating?

Alan Jones allegedly masturbated as he “grabbed and squeezed” the penis of his 10th alleged victim, according to fresh charges laid against the former radio broadcaster.

The eight additional charges relating to a new complainant were revealed moments before the ex-2GB host and Wallabies coach faced court for the first time on Wednesday.

Before Jones arrived at Sydney’s Downing Centre court complex, detectives from Strike Force Bonnefin added the further charges to the existing 26 counts in which police allege he fondled penises, stroked thighs, squeezed bottoms, kissed “using his tongue”, and pulled one man’s scrotum between June 2001 and December 2019.

Court documents relating to the 10th victim allege Jones “touched the complainant’s penis with his penis whilst squeezing the complainant’s bottom and kissing the complainant on the mouth”. The 34th charge against Jones alleges he “grabbed and squeezed [the complainant’s] penis whilst masturbating his own penis”.

Jones is also accused of having kissed the man on the mouth, “gripped and squeezed [the complainant’s] penis multiple times” and rubbed it with his hand. The acts allegedly occurred in 2003 and 2004.

Some do, sure.  Just as some heterosexuals do.

This has nothing to do with Jones being gay, and absolutely nothing to do with him being a far-right propagandist.

It's only about him carrying out sexual acts on other people without their consent.

Don't use his politics and sexual preferences to deflect from his alleged crimes - it makes it look like you're making excuses for him.
