The US medium missiles aren't cheap.
ATACM firing range 300 km Payload 214 kg Flight ceiling 50 km speed Mach 3. Adolf spent money on rockets and got: V2 Range 320 km Payload 725 kg Flight ceiling 80 km Speed Mach 5.7 ------------------ It's like the US making cars with less performance than old VW beetle for $1 million. |

Correction to V2, it carried 900kg.
The present German Taurus is less effective except for distance: Payload 480 kg Operational range > 500 km Maximum speed Mach .95 ----- That took 80 years of research funds for less result. |

The V1 and V2 were inaccurate -
they could be 10 miles away from the target even 30 miles. |

Then GPS and inertial nav has reduced the V2 speed and load, after 80 years. Does it slow down a car when fitted?

So where's the advantage in $1mill missiles that are less capable than 80 years ago, apart from GPS? German Taurus is slower than some Airbus and Boeing passenger liners.

They can hit to within 1 metre of a target. |

A drone for $2000 goes 300km, with GPS.
https://www.technology.org/2023/12/20/ukraine-has-new-cheap-drone-can-fly-300km/ Or else use a WWII rocket from Germany (in 1944!) and add GPS for faster, heavier load. |
