Should men and women pursue 'the attainment of' [satisfying] pleasure ?

2 [Philosophy] the ethical theory that pleasure (in the sense of the satisfaction of desires) is the highest good and proper aim of human life.

QUESTION;
What are viable paths which [some believe] can lead to the destination [to the repeated experience.....] of human physical pleasure ?


CURIOSITY.....
Is it the consuming of, and then the 'experiencing' of the effect of........

Psychotropic drugs ?
Alcohol ?

Is it........

Sexual pleasure/satisfaction ?
Spending money ?
Social 'immunity' [from 'hardship', from holding a vast amount of 'wealth'] ?
Power [through money] ?
Power [through the oppression and the subjugation of others] ?

There has got to be, some ego [mania] and some narcissism there !

subjugate = = bring under domination or control, especially by conquest.


'Hell bent on'........pleasure ?

But then, when the immediate 'high' is abated........ ?
you find that you are still here,
you are still you,
and in front of 'your eyes', there is still.......your life.

What gives you long term emotional comfort and long term emotional satisfaction [or pleasure] ?
