News reports describe a kamikaze drone at the site of a residential area hit by a Russian drone strike in Zaporizhzhya, Ukraine, on November 25.
Kamikaze is suicide by extreme indoctrination. These young drones are often going in to battle days or weeks after being formed in Russian secure facilities. With paint barely dry and the simplest of world views, the conscripts offer their naive obedience to Moscow. One flight. Dead. It's not right.

I agree. No-one ever asks a drone how they feel about all this? I mean, going by Robin Williams in Asimov's Bicentennial man. Machines have feelings too.

The vocabulary means that reporters and thus readers feel that equipment and explosives are personalised. Artillery shells are fired with intent. Items are given names which become the individual : 'Bradley', 'Oreshnik' and so on. 'In Ukraine, Bradleys are getting credit for holding back Russian advances'.  It could lead to nukes being named as personal individuals.

The bomb was 'detonated', it didn't act by itself or do a kamikaze self-destruction.  Possibly no other munitions than drones are said to be kamikaze.

Whats your problem with the word kamikaze? What were the storms that destroyed the Chinese invasion of Kublai Khan of Japan in 1274 and again in 1281 called by the Japanese? Were the typhoons holding people in them? Kami is a god or divine spirit in Japanese, kaze means wind/breeze.

A drone, like a mayfly, has at least one single purpose: kill humans (their creator). The 3 rules of robotics do not apply to them.

Should they be condemned for breaching the Nuremberg Conventions? Islamic drones that kamikaze Jews could plead youthful age (2 weeks, no ethical instruction). Indoctrination probably trumps a drone's knowledge of Nazi history. And when they are dead, what can you do?
