Title: Trump will bypass the Deep State: Post by Bobby. on Nov 30th, 2024 at 10:13pm
https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2024/nov/26/trump-transition-team-fbi-security-clearances-background-checks
Trump officials to receive immediate clearances and easier FBI vetting Exclusive: president-elect’s team planning for background checks to occur only after administration takes over bureau Donald Trump’s transition team is planning for all political appointees to receive sweeping security clearances on the first day and only face FBI background checks after the incoming administration takes over the bureau and its own officials are installed in key positions, according to people familiar with the matter. The move appears to mean that Trump’s team will continue to skirt FBI vetting and may not receive classified briefings until Trump is sworn in on 20 January and unilaterally grant sweeping security clearances across the administration. Trump’s team has regarded the FBI background check process with contempt for months, a product of their deep distrust of the bureau ever since officials turned over transition records to the Russia investigation during the first Trump presidency, the people said. But delaying FBI vetting could also bring ancillary PR benefits for the Trump team if some political appointees run into problems during a background check, which could upend their Senate confirmation process, or if they struggle to obtain security clearances once in the White House. The putative process for obtaining a clearance in the first Trump administration involved the White House’s personnel security office relying on an FBI background check to decide whether to grant one. The background check initially looked for untrustworthiness or red flags that could be exploited by adversaries. If the initial checks against law enforcement databases uncovered no issues, applicants were granted an interim clearance while deeper investigations continued until it was advanced to a permanent clearance. The current Trump plan appears set to bypass that initial stage. |

Interesting. Must be music to the ears of the US's enemies. |

He won't need to vet those he holds close.....he already knows who he can trust, & who to rely on.....he also knows who he will need to send directly to the "Axe Man" post haste. .. |

Americans are obsessed with governmental / corporation conspiracy.
As in Australia, every department head and senior executives know they are employed at the administration's pleasure and work knowing that their tenure is term-of-government dependent. That a Trump Administration would install its own people in senior roles is entirely in keeping with practices actioned immediately after a change of government worldwide. |

the deep state is the vested interests and career bureaucrats in washington
washington voted 94 % for harris, so clearly they are terrified of trump (because he is going to stop their gravy train) if you look at the prescints in the USA, and look at how many millionaires live in each one, washington has 4 of the top 10. the deep state is essentially the lobbyists and paid for civil servants who work against the american people they are the rumsfeldts and cheneys and wolfowitzs who made up a lie about weapons of mass distruction and then saw 5 million civilians killed, 4 new wars started, 10 trillion dollars rolling thru thier coffers and the middle east looking like stalingrad and do you know who they got to go fight those wars and get mained and killed? 75 % were young white males from red states (the people they called deplorable) who have "seen the light " and gone over to trump trump stands for america first, no new wars, as does gabbard and the VP. and what does the deep state do as a final "up yours" to trump? give ukraine long range missiles to try and amp up that war (you dont actually think biden made that decision, he cant decide what his bedtime is). so good on trump for sending these corrupt treachorous scum to the unemployment queues. hopefully some of them get charged for the lies they told about WMD |

Trump Announces First 10 Executive Orders With just a few days to inauguration, President-elect Donald Trump is preparing to sign a slew of day-one executive orders that will begin making America great again. Here is an exclusive first look at what Trump has planned: An executive order granting himself unlimited executive orders: How has no one else thought of this? McDonald's must keep the McRib on the menu all year: We are SO BACK. A 6-foot sign saying "you must be this tall to enter" will be placed at the southern border: Immigration, solved. J.D. Vance has to stop wearing eyeliner: It's so distracting. All current children's television programming will be canceled and replaced with Legends Of The Hidden Temple: Thank you, sir. The U.S. will no longer recognize Norway as a country: Not for any reason, just because we can. All women will be required to lose ten pounds by swimsuit season: Honestly, this one's pretty sexist, but okay. In lieu of the National Anthem, everyone must do the "YMCA" before any sporting event: So much greatness. Serving veggie burgers will now be a capital offense: Good-bye, low T. Whoopi Goldberg will be separated from her husband and assigned a white man to marry: She tried to warn us. Get excited, folks. This is just the first step in making America great again. |

In the spirit of Andrew Jackson's quip, 'The Chief Justice has made his decision, now let him enforce it'...
Issuing an executive order is one thing... having Congress, administrators and the judiciary enforce it all the way down the chain, is another. |

How many cases of Lawfare, impeachment, legal challenges, congressional, judicial and regulatory obstacles and impeachment have they put before him? Where were the similar checks and balances when Biden's mental incapacity was clear to everyone, years ago? What happened to the checks and balances around the the laptop, the Russia dossier, the 50+ intelligence heads lying openly? The smears mascarading as checks and balances around Trump's Supreme Court nominees? And so on, and on, a litany. And watch when all the cover-up over the last 4 years gets looked into by the 'checks and balances' people. With a delightful Freudian flash the Dems, pretending to be innocent and morally impecable, are already calling it 'revenge'. And if it does happen, that is what it's going to be. Attorneys general from 20 states are urging the U.S. Senate to quickly confirm President-elect Donald Trump’s nominees for Attorney General, secretary of Homeland Security, and FBI director.
Attorney General Liz Murrill (R-LA) led 19 peers from around the country in a letter, obtained by Breitbart News, supporting Gov. Kristi Noem (R-SD), the DHS secretary nominee; Pam Bondi, Trump’s nominee for attorney general; and Kash Patel, who Trump tapped to lead the FBI. Quote:

More bullshit from Frank ::) The Department of Justice (DOJ) this week released the final nationwide crime statistics under the Biden administration as the president prepares to leave office. Following an uptick in violent crime in 2021 during the pandemic, it began to trend down significantly in 2023, "including double-digit drops in homicide rates across many major cities," according to the DOJ. In 2024, violent crime continued to go down, according to preliminary DOJ data from 85 major cities. That included a 17.5% decrease in murder rates. There was also a 7.1% decrease in rape, 3.6% decrease in aggravated assault and 7.8% decline in robbery over the first three quarters of the year. Between 2021 and 2022, violent crime decreased by 1.7%, which became a 3% decrease between 2022 and 2023, and through the second quarter of 2023 to 2024 it went down by 10.3%. In the same time spans, the murder rate went down by 6.1% starting from 2021 to 2022, by 11.6% in 2023 and finally by 22.7% in 2024. |

Thanks for pointing that out, Leroy. Then you'll be pleased to know: Los Angeles is witnessing a noteworthy decline in violent crime in 2024, with homicides plummeting by 24% from 269 in the previous year to 2023 and a comforting reduction in rapes and robberies by 17% and 12% respectively. This trend paints a cautiously optimistic picture of the city’s battle against violence. As of 2022, New York City has a murder rate of 6.3 per 100,000. Trump is creating, then attempting to manage and control, an oligarchy ruled by an autocrat.
His Achilles heel is that, as the democratically elected potentate he imagines himself to be and constrained by term limits, he is dispensable... the oligarchs he's creating are not. |

There it is again, people - the delusion that an elected government etc suddenly holds all power in the land - Donald is checked by ..... checks and balances ... he does not by any stretch of the imagination hold total power...... only here do governments act as if they do hold total power, so clearly our 'democratic system' is flawed and is in need of repair. Sadly for this Poor Fellow - My Country - some groups within it have acted on this delusion held by elected government to establish themselves in positions of supremacy ... get into their ears or their pants and those elected governments will step outside the boundaries or Law to impose things that do not abide by the rules of Law. Sadly, there are no real checks and balances, given that our courts are stacked with the traditional Australian convict colony people are scum mental type of prison warder judges who imagine they have an equal total power to impose without let, and who are all directly involved in or are directly under the control of those self-same flawed elected governments. They drink at the club together, you know....must be right.... if it were so wrong, surely the people could oppose it in one of the courts!!! Only costs - oh - $100,000 a day or so! If they've got a problem with being genuinely oppressed and their rights are being violated - there are remedies at $100k a day!!! Poor Fellow - My Country! Feminists have been doing it - to the massive detriment of this country and its people, for decades now - and all the other pissy little self-centred groups are using the same path that worked so well for them. Aboriginal/Poof/Tranny Supremacists are using YOUR money to impose on YOU through the courts... everyone is equal, no? But if they belong to a group accorded Accredited Victim Status they get everything for free and the rights of those they are seeking to oppress are thrown in the garbage can.... and then those oppressed get to pay for it all again!! Every day of their life. Cut Off The Paths! Drain The Billabongs!! Make Australia Great Again!! bugger The Minorities!! |

No Australian prime minister is under any delusion of autocratic power... our so-called 'Washminster' system does not allow for the latitude a US president enjoys. US presidents sometimes are deluded, and attempt to arrogate power within their constitutionally mandated term limits. Nixon, for example, argued that the US president had the autocratic power of the French King Louis XIV, doled out every 4 years. Most test the boundaries of their power by executive orders, Supreme Court appointments (if they're lucky to have some die, retire or resign during their presidency), or by having the chutzpah to act without Congressional approval and wait to see what Congress does about it. |

The word is he was put back in his box when he got too lippy about future Trump Administration actions. Either that or DOGE isn't big enough for two gargantuan egos, so Ramaswamy may not have got out of DOGE as much as moved to a back suburb. Probably both. |

When you're right you're right. You just need to tell the MAGA crowd that. They believe he'll lower their taxes and fund cuts through tariffs. But we've seen his tax plan, we've seen his tariff plan. It's only the top two brackets that will see any tax refile, everyone else will be paying more and that's before the addition of the tariffs they'll have to pay as consumers. So yes, the voters elected Trump to enact his platform, they just believe what he said it would do, not what it appears it will do based on the little policy information actually got released during the campaign. We're back to the problem of Trump telling different audiences different versions of exactly the same topic. |

How Trump plans to cement control of government by dismantling the 'deep state' By James Oliphant and Steve Holland January 19, 2025 WASHINGTON, Jan 18 (Reuters) - President-elect Donald Trump is poised to seize greater control of the federal government than any modern president before him when he takes office on Monday, charging ahead with plans to dismantle what he and his allies call the "deep state," according to two sources familiar with transition discussions. The effort could get underway as early as Trump's first day as president, according to one of the sources, with an executive order aimed at stripping job protections from an estimated 50,000 career federal employees, allowing their replacement by handpicked loyalist appointees. The Trump administration will also push to fill the thousands of political appointments across government as soon as possible, another source told Reuters. The goal is to inject political loyalists deep into the workings of government, perhaps more so that any other recent president. In a harbinger of what may lie ahead, Trump's team has requested the resignation of three senior career diplomats who oversee the U.S. State Department's workforce and internal coordination, Reuters reported this week. |
