Title: Smoothie
Post by Sir Eoin O Fada on Dec 8th, 2024 at 2:13pm
I had a  Mango smoothie this morning and it had ice in it, to my way of thinking once it had hard lumps in it it was no longer a smoothie.

Also, a while back, I ordered Viena Schnitzel, a dish that I’ve always enjoyed, Imagine my surprise when it arrived smothered in gravy which completely killed all other flavours.
Now the menu said Viena Schnitzel, which doesn’t include gravy
.
Subsequent inquiries on Google elicited the information that Viena Schnitzel in Australia is slathered in gravy
Yuck😩😩😩

That's not smoothie at all.
Australian trend of saucing everything is on the rise.
A few pizza shops here do it. More sources on the pizzas than anything else. It's a rip off cheap way.

Not just everything smothered in sauces…but take chicken for instance… hot and spicy… yuk.
I like snitz on its flavoursome own, I like chips on their own. I like chicken plain and roasted on its own.
What’s all these other flavours disguising the natural taste?
I note my kids gen (millenniums) are all mad for hot spicy stuff! Where did I go wrong  ;D

One of the places where I can enjoy Viena Schnitzel is India, the side dishes are varied and spicy [to taste] butyou get what you ordered or they will apologise for not having it; even if you’re the only person who has ever ordered it.

And I’ve never known Asians or Indians to submerge food in gravy.

Another of my pet hates is hot food served on cold plates.
