Title: Was Al Aqsa Flood worthwhile?

On 7 October 2023, Hamas launched what it called operation "Al Aqsa Flood", with the invasion of southern Israel and thousands of rockets being fired at cities such as Tel Aviv.

In their own words they wanted to create a regional war which would bring about the destruction of Israel.

What has actually happened is quite different.

Not only has Hamas been smashed (it is a shell of itself), but its attack on Israel has over the last 14 months destroyed the capabilities of Hezbollah, caused the collapse of the Assad regime and more importantly exposed Iran for the very weak nation it actually is.

I mean 12 months ago even the United States feared attacking Iran. There was this "unknown" about it. If Iran was attacked, what would Hezbollah do? What would Assad do? How would Hamas support Iran?

None of this anxiety exists anymore.

People say Israel is in a quagmire. But I actually believe it has achieved something fantastic. Its perseverance has totally broken Iran and its axis.

Come January, Iran had better start doing what it is told by the United States, because the fear and anxiety of attacking Iran directly no longer exists. The sooner the better. Kick them while they are down in my opinion. Don't let them get back up.
