Title: Alternative to bans
Post by Jovial Monk on Jan 3rd, 2025 at 11:27am
Sometimes in the heat of debate one can post in an MRB where you are banned and cop a forum wide ban.

With the small and declining membership an alternative to a forum wide ban might be useful, keep levels of debate up.

This suggestion applies to permanent MRB bans. The GMods, on being notified of a permanent ban could make it so that the banned member can no longer post in that MRB. Similar to like how three quarters of the current membership can no longer post in Feedback.

This would keep levels of debate up where forum–wide bans depress the amount of debate.

Things can get very petty with the present method of banning: witness Jaye salivating over being able to have JohnSmith banned forum–wide over one tiny post accidentally made in Extremism.
