They had fun mocking Trump, they laughed and laughed. sad thing is people have died in these fires. These lives could have been saved.[/quote] Trump accused Newsom of prioritizing environmental policies over public safety, and claimed that FEMA lacked the funds to respond to the crisis. CBS News Confirmed looked into some of the claims. Here's what we know. Trump claimed Newsom "refused to sign the water restoration declaration" that he said would have directed millions of gallons of water to areas now burning, alleging he prioritized a small fish, called a smelt, over residents. In response, Newsom's office said, "There is no such document as the water restoration declaration – that is pure fiction." Trump claims there is "no money in FEMA" Trump also lobbed criticisms at President Biden in a social media post, claiming the current administration is leaving him "no money in FEMA." FEMA's Disaster Relief Fund was rapidly dwindling last October after Hurricane Helene and a series of major disasters, but Mr. Biden signed a bill in December that added $29 billion to the fund. On Wednesday, the agency told CNN they had approximately $27 billion left in the Disaster Relief Fund. CBS News has reached out to confirm the current balance. In a statement, the White House said FEMA has approved Fire Management Assistance Grants to reimburse California for firefighting costs. In multiple social media posts this week, Trump referenced "no water in the fire hydrants." Los Angeles officials faced fierce criticism after some fire hydrants ran dry in parts of Pacific Palisades overnight from Tuesday into Wednesday. Janisse Quiñones, chief executive and chief engineer of the L.A. Department of Water and Power, said at a Wednesday press conference that all three 1-million-gallon water tanks in the area ran dry by 3 a.m., reducing water pressure for fire hydrants at higher elevations. Quiñones said the tanks, which supply pressure for hydrants in the hilly Palisades, couldn't refill fast enough as firefighting efforts drained water faster than the main trunk line could supply it. Still, Trump has long pushed these claims, suggesting while on the campaign trail that he'd withhold aid from California if Newsom didn't reinstate Trump's policies. "The water coming here is dead. And Gavin Newsom is going to sign those papers, and if he doesn't sign those papers, we won't give him money to put out all his fires, and we don't give him the money to put out his fires. He's got problems," Trump said at a press conference at his Los Angeles golf course in September. In the above we see the real trump, what a scumbag to threaten to withold disaster funds. |

Where do they get this stuff? I'm guessing Elon's tweets.
Just think, the crowd that ranted about elites in 2016 are now posting solely from the billionaire donor who's ensconced himself in the next US government. |

Weird Beard Dorsey banned the sitting Prez from Twitter. You mongs clapped like the mongs you are. Elon bought twatter, sacked the blue haired fact checker lezzos and renamed it X. The blue haired paki pantaloon sniffer crowd was outraged. Free speech, how dare he. Trump got re-elected, the pantaloon sniffers of Disney et al are returning to X, Zuck kisses the ass and copies X's moderation. You mongs are bleating impotently on the sidelines beyond the big 'IR--FVUKCING-RELEVANT' sign. Where you have always been and unhappily to you, remain. |

Trump lies, always has always will, so trying to divert attention away from those lies is a wasted exercise. You wont convince or sway reasonable thinking people, the only people who will agree with you are those that have already partaken of the koolaid and there's no hope of them ever being reasonable. Save all your effort, trump will always be seen as the scumbag he is. |

Trump will stuff up spectacularly on some issue like he did with covid 19. He is old, mind in steep decline.
His second term will be a sustained attack on living standards to meet the huge tax cuts to the oligarchs. |

hmmm.... another one that has taken the koolaid, I'm surprised you havent lied and made up some numbers as you normally do,thats a small improvement ,well done. "intellectual lefties" thats aqua speak for "people smarter than me,aquascoot" Lesbian Dei hires ? I can only assume you are referring to Kristin M. Crowley ? lets see how much of a dei hire she is. As a 22-year veteran of the LAFD, Chief Crowley has proven her credibility and character by promoting through the ranks. She served as a Firefighter, Paramedic, Engineer, Fire Inspector, Captain I, Captain II, Battalion Chief, Assistant Chief, Deputy Chief, Chief Deputy, and Fire Chief. She has gained valuable experience in both field assignments on emergency apparatus and administrative duty in multiple areas within the Department. Before her appointment, she served as a Chief Officer for nine years as the Commander of Battalion 13 (South Los Angeles), Battalion 6 (San Pedro), the Professional Standards Division, Fire Prevention and Public Safety Bureau, and Administrative Operations. Looks to me you are just regurgitating right wing talking points, with as usual, no substance. as for your little god trumps communications, give me a break ;D he can barely utter a coherent sentence. 12 years ;D ;D ;D ;D now I know youre dreaming trump isnt even president yet ,the gop are in disarry, he cant get his cabinate picks through the senate, his maga crowd are pissed off at him. Straight from the start hes looking to be a lame duck president. Come the midterms, I wonder what state the house and senate will be in then. |
