The most expensive failure ( by far) in Australia short history and this is what Albo labor government is putting forward too be re-elected? In a cost of living crisis. In a homeless crisis. I truly have no words. Give him a keyboard too play on the roof the lodge while Australians get to grips with third world living standard. |

Title: Re: Vote Albo to fix the nbn Post by greggerypeccary on Jan 13th, 2025 at 9:13pm I guess it's an eastern states thing - this hatred of the NBN. Here in the west we have FTTH and it's fast and reliable. I've never had an issue. |

I've had fibre to the home here in Rivervale for nearly 10 years now and haven't had a single problem with it.
I've mentioned this in the past but we were one of the last (if not the last) street to get fibre to the home in this area in 2015 before the cheaper (and vastly inferior) fibre to the node, hybrid fibre/coaxial and fibre to the curb took over thanks to the Federal Liberals winning the 2013 election. And that was only because our fibre to the home had already been contracted to be done before the 2013 election. I could get even faster speeds than what's in the attached image - that's what I get for now for the plan I'm on with Telstra but I do also have unlimited data, of course. |

Yep. Rivervale and Vic Park were two of the first suburbs to get the NBN, and it's very reliable. I'm in a northern beachside suburb now, and this is this morning's test results (during a peak time): 145 down, 33 up Haven't had a problem here at all. |
