Listening to a few pundits talk about how there are to many white men in top positions in the fire fighting system and there should be more diversity I also read about how most firefighters are white men.

It stands to reason that white men will dominate the top levels of the fire service because as people move through the ranks those with the most experience will eventually be in leadership positions.

And diversity didn't work in California.

Promotion of 'diversity', will result in division [of power] with regard to seeking any purpose or real world objective.

Merit and capability, of an individual [to achieve any set goal], does count.......for everything........if you want to [actually] achieve ANY objective.

The nightmare has happened. The racist, misogynistic, homophobic, transphobic voters of the United States have elected Donald Trump. I feel like moving to America just so that I can emigrate in protest.

There is absolutely no doubt whatsoever that on the first day that Trump seizes power, he will transform the US into a fascist hellscape. He is the kind of tyrant who is so cunning that he spent four years in the White House not being a dictator to disguise his intention to become a dictator during a second term. His Machiavellianism knows no bounds.

The huge surge in support for Trump amongst Latinx and Black voters is the most disturbing aspect of all. We expect it from whites because it is in their nature to be evil and demonic. They really should be sterilised.

I don’t claim that the fifteenth amendment was necessarily a mistake, but I do think that we need to do more to help ethnic minorities to vote properly. This will involve devising a more equitable system for future elections. To prevent a racist outcome, we should ensure that each person of colour is supervised in the voting booth by a white democrat.

One of the major problems is that 35 states currently require voter ID, which is a grotesquely discriminatory system. Skills such as filling out forms and being organised are very much specific to white culture. Imagine the outcry if the government tried to force white people to do traditionally Black activities, such as singing gospel music, playing basketball or hotwiring cars. We would be outraged.

In moments of crisis, it’s important not to overreact. But we now know for sure that the US is a country populated by Nazis — Jewish Nazis, Black Nazis, Hispanic Nazis, Indian Nazis, gay Nazis — all turning out in hordes to support the Naziest Nazi who ever lived. By Trump’s standards, Adolf Hitler was positively angelic.

In fact, if Hitler could have travelled forward in time, he would definitely have killed Trump as a baby.

U.S. — A day long feared by people across America and around the world finally became a reality today, with Democracy falling into rubble after a man who received the most votes took the oath of office to become president.

Weeping could be heard echoing throughout the streets of every American city this morning as citizens of the United States were confronted with the terrifying truth that democracy had been destroyed by having the man who everyone voted for take office.

"This is indeed a dark day," said historian and professor Clifford Martin. "The American experiment has survived for nearly 250 years, continuing the tradition started by the ancient Greeks who created the concept of democracy… but today we have seen its end. The man who won more votes than anyone else has been sworn in as president, and that's just not how democracy works."

Experts predicted that the country may never be the same, as having the man people wanted to be president actually win the election was an unexpected assault on American democracy. "We're not used to this," constitutional scholar Owen Gaffney said. "The United States can't survive when it's simply left to the people voting to choose their leaders. Democracy has now died. Thanks a lot, voters."

Reports quickly emerged that lawmakers were hard at work putting measures into place to revive democracy by keeping overwhelmingly popular candidates from winning elections ever again.

At publishing time, memorial services for democracy were being planned as Democrats urged all Americans to flee the country in search of refuge in more oppressive, totalitarian countries.

It's a very physically demanding job. You take a pool of candidates of 500 men and 500 women and put them through a physical challenge course to be assessed for the job. More of the 500 men will pass that physical test than of the 500 women. It's not sexist to say that, it's a simple fact. Men are physically stronger than women more often than not, even in men of average physical condition and strength. So it stands to reason that more cadet fire fighters are men, as is the overall workforce and therefore, it is more likely for males to occupy higher ranking roles. It just comes down to simple physical attributes, not because of some gender thing.
