Note the mealy mouthed comment by the Police Commissioner that no charges have been laid because of insufficient evidence. What he should have said was that no charges were laid because the home owner was justified in defending himself and his family against a n armed criminal attack.

The family of the armed criminal home invader and attempted murderer are protesting that they want justice for their kinsman, compensation claims are, no doubt, in the offing.
