Whatever they want before and after over is called.

If over was called, it was a false call.  The ball was still alive in the air.

It must be a POME thing to wander out of your crease whilst the ball is still in play....I agree he should have been out!!!

I agree the over should not have been called, but if it wasn't called over the batsman may never have left his crease. The umpire effed up not the batsman.
