Put his bat in crease, umpire calls over he walks off. Whats the problem, you have never been able to run a batsman out after the umpire calls over.

Agree, so where was the Umpire's call of 'over?'

You stupid Grandma/eggs comments are very tedious.

Look at the video at the 2:08 mark and watch the umpire in the background. Watch carefully.

And from your link from the players.

Quote:
"In the moment, the ball was on the way back when he left the crease," Joseph said.

"It was out. But the umpires had already called over, so there’s nothing we could do about that."

Square leg umpire does not call 'over.'  Ump at bowler's end does.

Whatever they want before and after over is called.

If over was called, it was a false call.  The ball was still alive in the air.

It must be a POME thing to wander out of your crease whilst the ball is still in play....I agree he should have been out!!!

That Sri Lankan venue is crap.
Be lucky to squeeze in just 2000 spectators.
Guess Cricket isn't as popular as most think, over there.

He was not out.

I agree the over should not have been called, but if it wasn't called over the batsman may never have left his crease. The umpire effed up not the batsman.
