How thick is the north polar ice-cap, on average?

No 2 meters total thickness on average. Remember - the submarines can break through it in Winter. |

No big deal - if it melts it will re-fill the Great Inland Sea and open up the interior...
Side note:- dreamed last night of my deceased brother riding a fabulous right hand tube on his board... I guess heaven or whatever has options ... heaven is surfing ... Bloke dies and goes to St Peter - who gives him the chance to view both 'sides'... he walks into Heaven and all day singing the praises and tuning angel wings and stuff got too much - so he went back - then went Down for a look... .. woke up on a beach with fabulous surf and boards smooth as silk all day.... thought - wow - this is it! Turns to this demon standing there - and asks if it's like this all day. "Sure", says the demon, so the bloke chooses to stay there and surf .. an hour later a horn blows - and he asks the demon what that means... "Oh - that's the shift change horn - now it's night shift, and you get to go into the Prometheus shark tank for twelve hours...." |

Makes sense. Inuits poking through to get fish. Seals and Narwhals making holes. But how thick can it get at the most?

Your case has been reviewed. Although you claim to have watched sub docos, it's not convincing. It is doubtful whether a general doco would provide such data as average polar ice cap dimensions. Your addiction to messiah cartoons is also noted and the unreal world which you seem to inhabit. In these circumstances, it's been decided that you may keep the smiley, on this occasion. Future scientific and religious declarations by you will however, be under sceptical assessment.

You haven't given a link or any proof of my claim of 2 meters. |
Title: Re: North Polar ice Post by chimera on Feb 13th, 2025 at 12:51pm
I drew a cartoon and think Trump agrees it's 2 metres. If you keep up with this abusive ingratitude, you can expect to lose your smiley.
You have been warned. |

Sury the Inuit have a shallow gene pool of only 2 metres deep to fish from.
|
Title: Re: North Polar ice Post by chimera on Feb 14th, 2025 at 10:05am
That is NOT related to the question. Although one answer gave 100 metres as the thickness it was at least a genuine attempt. Inuit genes are a distraction, diversion and typical of politicians' replies. There can be no smiley for this totally inept and irrelevant obstruction. If this sort of behaviour continues the polar ice will be omitted from further discussion with no correspondence entered into.
