Can you join the dots for me? Provided our population isn't smaller than that supported by a sinlge power station, population shouldn't make a difference. Australia is no more gifted with renewables like wind, solar and hydro than many other countries.
Cost involves more than money in most cases.
We have more desert per population than most and to not use it for power is an opportunity cost versus the creation of more Nuclear Waste.
Thousands of Reactors will have to be built and we do not have to dump this stuff in our pristine land because it was never our problem.
The opportunity to hold these Nuclear cowboys to account is priceless to our future children for generations to come. Not just Australias children, either.
They could simply dump it somewhere else but the voice of disapproval will be heard and we can proudly say, as Australians, we played our part.
Who knows what in the future but given todays climate of terrorism it would be best to buckle up...anything less is ripping off the future of mankind, IMHO.
Australia has this power and it should not be ill-spent.
