Yes DT i do dont i? But that wasnt listed in the poll was it Wink

Sometimes i can agree with liberalist thinking but sometimes i can strongly disagree with their rationale.As is the case with Labour or the Greens or Nationals.I want whats best for our country and i will think and say what i want with our countrys best interests at heart.
Fear not DT i am a proud Aussie who loves his country nearly as much as i love my kids and will remain fiercley patriotic till my dying day.

The Liberal party started off as the Country party, then merged with another party in the 1920's of ,which i forget thus creating THE NATIONALIST PARTY, which eventually transformed into the liberal party of 1944 which exists to this day.
Yes i agree with changing with the world BUT what must NEVER change is the recognititon of our identity and our values of freedom,unity and being true to your mates.

I find disagreement and hot debates to be healthy for a democracy. Obviously majority rules under democracy, but the minority should speak up. So what does unity actually mean? The country not splitting up? People not disagreeing with each other?

Sure, minority may speak, but we the majority should not have to change things for the few -IF- it affects the majority. small things that dont, sure.
Unity, is having a single identity, that is, being known as an Australian and thats it.
Not a lebanese australian, or a vietnamese australian or even an aboriginal australian but an AUSTRALIAN. NO RACE BARRIERS OR CULTURAL BARRIERS, which generally always seem to give them the upper hand because then,they declare themselves as minority groups and seek financial and cultural benefits which affects the majority.
