Could everything have always been?

Energy changes form but does not cease to exist. I think it quite likely everything has always been and will always be and if that is so then there is no need for a belief in a Creator. What say you Sprint?

Entropy always increases.

entropy is disorder isn't it? What about black holes? And, sorry if I am being dumb, but  what does your claim have to do with the question?

Entropy is a measure of disorder. Disorder is the simplest description of it.

What it means is that things change. You can't always go back, in the way that energy can be converted back and forth. Of course, no-one knows for sure what happens over long time frames.

Or in black holes, but they are certainly a compacting of matter into a whole rather than a dispersion of matter.

Connie - good thinking. Interesting. Thanks. Opens my mind to lots of thoughts.

You are saying energy is not destroyed, only alters ? So we have always existed, only in a different form. And will always exist, so why bother with God ?
Good point.

I'm just going to put on some classical music. Rossini. It makes me feel alive, joyous, important.
It changes the atmosphere here. The same energy exists. But something has changed, moreso than just airwaves being compressed. Same as visual artwork.
Not all things are of energy or are of this world.

There's no "need" for a belief in a creator. Either one exists or one does not.
Whether anyone believes or knows Him or not.
He's much happier when people know him, than just believe in him.
"You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that, and shudder". James 2:19

Every father wants to know their kids and their kids to know them back. Is natural.

Some people come to God by searching and yearning, slowly over years of toil, some in a rush when their car is spinning toward a tree, some always seem to know Him, some even meet him in a church !
Some start by trying to disprove Him, eventually they find He is the most logical workable thing.
Some start to read the Bible to disprove it. They find as they turn every leaf, it also turns a leaf of their lives. It reads them. It asks them questions.

But, it's all voluntary.
It's all up to your own honesty, bravery, humility and openness.
It's all your asking.
