I'll put a few greens policies here.  Seems people talk about them, but are short ion detail.

Nuclear - The Australian Greens will:
end the exploration for, and the mining and export of, uranium.
prohibit the processing and enrichment of uranium in Australia.
prohibit the import and export of nuclear waste and fuel rods.
prohibit the reprocessing of Australian nuclear fuel rods.


Waster - The Australian Greens will:
in cooperation with the states and territories, regulate and fund hazardous materials collection and treatment facilities, with the aim of keeping all stockpiles and newly generated hazardous waste to a minimum.
strengthen the National Pollution Inventory to ensure it comprehensively documents all point source substances released to the environment.


Employment and IR Measures
The Australian Greens will:
repeal the Coalition Government’s WorkChoices legislation.
abolish Australian Workplace Agreements and protect any existing entitlements through common law contracts underpinned by relevant state and federal awards or collective agreement.
require employers to enter into collective agreements with their workforce unless a majority are demonstrably opposed to collective bargaining, with the Industrial Relations Commission to have the power to arbitrate if no agreement can be reached.
require employers to inform new and existing employees that they are entitled to join a union, and enable the provision of information about the unions responsible for the sector and industry.



Taxation

reduce inequities in the current personal income tax system by:
reducing tax breaks for high income earners;.
removing Fringe Benefits Tax concessions which promote increased use of motor vehicles;
removing the concessional arrangements for Capital Gains Tax;
only allowing losses from an investment to be offset against income from the same investment;.
abolishing the 30% Private Health Insurance Rebate in order to increase funding for public hospitals;
taxing family trusts in the same way as companies; and,
eliminating high rates of effective marginal taxation for those on welfare benefits.
conduct an inquiry with a view to implementing changes to the tax system that address the negative impacts of the GST on:
income distribution
environmental sustainability
and business administration costs
oppose any increase or extension to the GST.


I noticed they have a policy for women, but none for men.
Such sexist attitude means they don't get my vote !

Yep..Vote Greens for skyhigh interest rates, economic downturn and policies that will make Australia the laughing stock of the entire world.

Although they will fit well in the bureaucracy a Labor govt will bring. They like their committees, inquiries and commissions too- it gives thew something to fulfil their shady promises to mates to set them up in a nice high paying govt job.

They are a joke

Recfisher  -  I think they are more interested in reducing the social harm of illegal drugs.
So are interested in decriminilising all illegal drugs.
I fully agree with this stance.

prohibition only enhances the appeal of that which is prohibited.
Anyway, what is being done now is not working, time for a different approach.

Well done Australian Greens.  They have increased their vote.  Also they now hold the balance of power in the senate.
