A chose Captain Nemo for two reasons ...

1. It means "no-one" - being anonymous on boards is good IMHO

2. James Mason played Nemo in the movie 20,000 leagues under the sea (1954 version) - a movie I enjoyed as a child when I was taken by my grandparents to see it in Melbourne during one of its re-runs (must have been around 1964 when I saw it.)

My mother - who was born in Fulham London admired James Mason when she was living there and when Mason moved to America to live and perform in movies over there, she wrote him a letter saying how sad she was that he was leaving England but wished him all the best in America. James wrote back to her thanking her for the letter.

Good Name - I found it a difficult read. I got through it but cannot say I enjoyed the experience. I was maybe too young when I read it.

Attempted humor I guess.

Early teens when I read the book.

So easy to do - Corrected in my post. Couldn't tell you how often I got the wrong which even though sometimes witch is just as appropriate or more so. Have also been struggling with this keyboard since the granddaughter tipped her cereal in it. Random keys seem to stick and either don't produce the letter or give it late. At one time I had a pile of keyboards hanging around. May just rinse it out again.

Don't worry. This American spelling system is atrocious.
American English is great with grammar, but their system of spelling is terrible, just like their Imperial math's system. Explains why they are 4th world Economics.

James Mason was a very good Captain Nemo and the movie itself was good. It's a favourite with the Steampunk movement.

Brian Ross is my name.  I come from a generation which stood for what they said, we do not hide behind an pseudonym.  I have always used my name online, from the first day I logged in 1987.  Unlike many others that i could name.  Such cowards.  Tsk, tsk, tsk...   Roll Eyes Roll Eyes
