queer - it is a good one. I looked it up.

Pr 12:13 An evil man is trapped by his sinful talk, but a righteous man escapes trouble.

Pr 12:14 From the fruit of his lips a man is filled with good things as surely as the work of his hands rewards him.

Sorry guys and gals, I try to keep the chrisitianity spiritual quietish, but just read this quote I liked.

" When your days are over and you go to be with your fathers, I will raise up your offspring to succeed you, one of your own sons, and I will establish his kingdom.
He is the one who will build a house for me, and I will establish his throne forever.
I will be his father, and he will be my son. I will never take my love away from him, as I took it away from your predecessor.
I will set him over my house and my kingdom forever; his throne will be established forever.' "

1 Chronicles 17:11-14

Written about 425 BC, it is God talking to King David. The person God is referring to could well be Jesus.

Promise, my next few postings here will be nonchristian.

Thou shalt not take moochers into thy hut.

Thou shalt not horn into thy husband's racket.

"Even youths grow tired and weary,
      and young men stumble and fall;

but those who hope in the LORD
      will renew their strength.
      They will soar on wings like eagles;
      they will run and not grow weary,
      they will walk and not be faint."

"Jesus answered, "I tell you the truth, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit.
Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit.
You should not be surprised at my saying, 'You must be born again.'
The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going.
So it is with everyone born of the Spirit."

Hiya sprint. Smiley

You know how I hate kids being taught religion?

Well on reading that last verse, it would seem to me as if a person needs to make that personal decision, as a sentient, experienced being, not some brainwashed baby.

Like you saw in that jesus camp doco, where kids aged 10 to 14, were asked to  commit their lives to jesus, and be born again, but as they were all terribly manipulated and brainwashed already, it did seem like they were trying to create an affectatious experience, rather than allow a natural spiritual relationship to develop.

The expectation of what they are supposed to feel, and how they are supposed to behave, when they receive the spirit, has been programmed into these kids since birth, and that is horribly, horribly wrong.

If these freaks think they can fool god, then who are they fooling, and how foolish are they.
