All religions dislike the ideal of free speech.   Grin Cheesy Grin Cheesy Grin

But,..........................Only one so called 'Religion' has killing/murder/slaughter as its core theme when anyone attempts to use it (free speech) contrary to their liking. http://imgur.com/lFW9PYi.jpg

I am sure that will be good news to the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith!   Grin Cheesy Grin Cheesy Grin Cheesy Grin Cheesy Grin Cheesy

And for the record, he is not adamant.

By signing on this latest account with the name of one of his previous socks, its obvious he/she's not even trying to disguise himself.

Well, at last you admit something (don't let Brain catch you though).

SO Islam IS against free speech.

Too many people take the view that anything that provokes Muslim sensibilities cannot be said or written or drawn, and increasingly, thought. The argument is that the only way to prevent murderous attacks like in Copenhagen, Paris, Amsterdam etc, etc  is to self-censor and anticipate Muslim sensitivity before uttering, writing, thinking. But what is special about Muslims that distinguishes them from Christians or atheists or Jews?  They turn violent when their sensibilities are respected. ANd after a few bloody attacks, the threat of violence becomes enough to deter would-be free speechers.

How many people were killed over that little effort?
None.

How many people have been killed over Mohammed cartoons, books, films?

Scores.

SO your reflex equivocation is a sign of not thinking. Or pretending not to think.

I am not sure which one is worse or more dire.  And Gandy can delete this idea as many times as he likes but it remains true.

Is Gandy against certain ideas in the context of debating whether Islam is against free speech?

That sounds an awful lot like you and Brain with your endless prattle about "Islamophobia, bigotry, persecution" etc.

Piss Christ demonstrates the vast gulf between Islam and the civilised world in handling these sorts of disagreements.

These 'Irishmen' were confronted by police at Melbourne's Magistrates after 11.30am "this morning when a wild brawl erupted between two families, closing off the busiest floor of the court. ... "

http://www.news.com.au/national/police-swarm-melbourne-court/story-fncynjr2-1227...

Look like Irishmen to you?

Any suggestions as to the cause of the violence, the ethnicity or 'religion' of the offenders?

Vietnamese or Buddhists they ain't, I'd wager. They don't even look Somali or Aboriginal.

So, any takers?

I'd also lay money that 'Islam had nuffin' to do with it".

Grin

What do "Irishmen" look like, Lionel?  Are you able to ascertain nationality now on the basis of looks?   Roll Eyes

How many threats were issued?  Many.  Looks to me like there are plenty of Christian crazies out there, hiding under their rocks Soren.  Christian crazies which you like to ignore because they stop you from being able to persecute people on the basis of their religion.   Cheesy Cheesy Grin Grin Cheesy Cheesy Grin Grin

Nobody was killed or even hurt.

Very pertinent point, don't ignore it.
