I think we all know who the resident trolls are, the same trolls who made a mess of another couple of sites I know of, which like this site, were allowed to run a muck there also until eventually, they were closed/deserted.
Trouble was, by the time the sites owner/mods figured out what was actually happening, the individual/s had already stuffed the sites in question, though they insisted it was someone else, they had every excuse in the book.
This is why I left Yahoo several months before the site died, and I will do the same here if this place looks like going the same way if the mods don't stop it's resident trolls from harassing genuine people who come here and just want to have a balanced chat, be it about politics, places of interest or posting a few harmless recipes.
I would invite more people here to post, it;s just it's too embarrassing right now, this site has really deteriorated in the last several weeks.
A good way of determining any given posters worth is by reflecting back on their posts. Ask yourself, what is their objective for coming here, what are their interests?
Most trolls come here with one objective... to complain, argue with and harass others, this or to procure gullible others into doing their dirty work for them. They rarely converse normally with others (they struggle socially)...and or contribute anything meaningful in the way of constructive input which deviates from their obsessive trolling phenomenon, and so when they see normal others getting along and posting happily...they get a bee in their bonnet and set about normalising their own process by targeting and harassing others until their victims get tired of it and leave. They see this as a win, then they move onto the next victim and start the whole process over again. Some are so sick, their trolling becomes almost pathological, whereby they actually begin stalking and harassing people in real life, calling them at home repeatedly ...even their family's if they can.
They do this because they feel as though they lack power over their own lives, they feel insignificant and worthless. Most are mentally unwell, this and have some sort of OCD or PD disorder why else would they do this otherwise?
Their keyboard becomes their power tool, an extension of their ego/penis..of which needs to be stroked often. Sad really.
I have come here time and time again to contribute meaningfully, and each time someone ends up trashing my threads, be they about politics, food, the great outdoors, no matter what it is they just feel compelled to destroy it, because the fact is, their objective in life is to troll and flame strangers on message boards, somethings missing in their diet.
Sad and pitiful, but at least it keeps them off the street and out of our over-full psychiatric facilities I guess.
Freediver should apply for carers co-payment, for housing so many lunatics on the one site.
Fact is, I only have one handle, end of story, and I can prove this and will later on this afternoon.
Right now, I have some chores to do, so will come back later on.
