Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.
The 2007 Transformers team, is back.and Michael Bay is directing once again. With a budget upped by another $50 million, Revenge of the Fallen cost the studio $200 million to make. One would think then, that for all that extra money, there might be; more plot, better character development, new interesting "Bots"...
Nah! They just went for bigger. We get more "Bots" for our buck and a lot more bang too. "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen", turns out to be; a loud, under-plotted, special effects extravaganza that lacks the human touch. Something the last film had much more of. Even so, the special effects are great.
Shia LaBeouf is back as Sam Witwicky. The Military are back, but for most of the movie you have to wonder why. Oh, and there is a new woman in Sam's life too, the attractive (Australian actress) Isabel Lucas. Even Sam's Mum is back, more annoying than she ever was in the first film. We also get to meet the Tweedledee and Tweedledum of Autobots. But why? Mind you, I think director Michael Bay has developed a real thing for Megan Fox. So much eye candy can't be good for you. Even I got bored with it after a while and I think she's drop-dead gorgeous.
If you liked the first one, odds are you will like this one too.
Plenty of action, plenty of Megan. Teenage boys are gonna love it.
If I had to rate it, I'd give it 6 out of 10.
ps. I loved the design of the Deceptacon "cat"... and... it was full of surprises
