Banks..do you trust them?
Oct 10th, 2008 at 11:26am

On amadds thread easel raised the question of keeping cash at home..FD asked for an example of this....

I said pensioners dont trust banks.

I dont trust banks. They lie and conceal much the same as way as a certain telephone company does (starts with T and ends with A). Read your statements/bills carefully.

They sell lies by ommission and we continue to take it ..we allow these pple to streal our money and yet theives are prosecuted and locked up for same.

What is going on?

I'll agree about Telstra. I use Gotalk, and it's a package deal - bill never changes from month to month. Five years ago, my 3 monthly bill used to be about $1000 with Telstra and now it's around $200 although we use the phone a lot more.

As far as the banks are concerned, read the fine print. I regularly get large zero interest loans, invest them in term deposits and pay them before the zero interest period expires. Each time I do that, I spend about 10 minutes on the phone exploring every aspect, because they have ways of catching people out. So I never trust banks. They make their money by deceit.
