Not intending to ruffle any feathers - but why is it necessary to lie about a simple thing like moderating a particular board?

Oceanz - it's no problem with me what part you play in running this forum - but at least be honest about it.

Obviously I've upset FD somewhere along the way - because he doesn't bother responding to my PM's anymore. I opted out of the hunting forum because I didn't want to say something I regretted and I apologise for anything that I said to upset the hunters.

It's got to the stage that so many members can't even say what they want because the threat of being banned hangs over your head.

You know you can do whatever you want FD - but it's not fair that so many have to make compromises in what they write - yet others can say whatever they please.

This is the last time I'm going to be so polite.

Mantra the only person I will discuss a member's status with is the member themselves. I think I have made the rules clear enough without having to make a spectacle of banned members.

If you think someone has posted something inappropriate, tell me. Don't sit there fretting that they are getting away with it while others aren't.

How often have I complained to you FD - very rarely. I accept what people write and try to respond honestly.

I have been here since the inception of Ozpolitics and on request have tried to help you out - but your personal dislikes are getting in the way of what could be a good forum. Also don't worry about banning me - I'm gone.

Mantra perhaps it would be better if you did complain rather than keeping it bottled up. Everyone has trouble with the rules once it gets down to the details of what is and isn't appropriate, because everyone comes here with different ideas on what people should and shouldn't be allowed to get away with. Only by bringing the issue up will you be able to either draw my attention to a problem or understand why I allow certain things.

This applies mainly to member boards..and the arguement has spilled over into feedback and including the whole forum, the compalints about it Imean.

Grendel was the only one banned by FD..he graciously allowed him back because we asked him to..I dont see that as in anyway unfair.

Members in here are adults and should be able to exercise some restraint if they value being able to participate..With no rules its chaos,and whatever set of rules he applied, there would always be someoone with something to say about it .

Who would come here if it were open season..he has a big forum to run.

Maybe we SHOULD pay a membership for all the time FD puts in here..but that idea went down like a lead balloon.
