Please take these discussions elsewhere. This has gone too off topic.

You mean the discussions of the alleged 'Christian polytheism', or the discussion of the Koran and Hadiths?

pretty much all of it- it just takes away from the intent of the thread, which is to hear reasons why people converted.

I am happy for people to argue these reasons etc- not looking to stop that, but perhaps just make separate threads to do so. I'm sure members won't mind having threads made up for these specific issues. I think it will give more room to discuss the issues itself, whilst leaving the original thread intact.

Thanks Gaybriel. I agree, it was a shame this thread got hijacked. It was one of the few where members were able to discuss Islam in a positive manner.

You know lestat... if you actually shut up before uttering lies and errors in fact you'd be better off.
I have in fact read the koran...  (an English version)  yeah I know its not Arabic hence there could be errors of interpretation etc. Grin

I've also lived long enough to hear muslims continually complaining about being misunderstood and that people take the Koran etc out of context and misinterpret it etc, etc, etc...  sorry guys but these are FACTS

Oh and Rin you keep stubbornly referring back to your beliefs about Christianity,,,  which i already told you were pretty flawed.  You cant find the truth starting from an incorrect premise.  Smiley

If you have truly read it (english translation that is) then I apologize,
mod: personal attack

Anyway..how bout you list these contradictions you speak of. If you have truly read the Quran as you say you have, and you believe it to be full of contradictions (as you have cliamed) then it shouldn't be to difficult for you to list those contradictions.

You can't, because there aren't any...and anything that you 'believe' to be a contradiction can and will be rather easily refuted.

I suggest you only need go as far as the Tsunami to see the proof of Australian generosity rin...  but having now spoken to you several time i realise that denial is obviously a muslim trait you are well versed in.

Is there something that makes this generosity somehow inherently 'Australian' and somehow different to the aid given by other nations?

I would respectfully ask you to refrain from being offensive in our discussions, any good points you may make are derailed by your manners.

What are facts? And what Muslims do you talk to? How many Muslims do you know? Or even how many Muslim friends do you have? Enough to declare yourself somehow above such misunderstanding.

Finally I am sorry, but a fact is that unless you have read the Qu'ran in Arabic, you will have little conception of what is said or conveyed within its words. I say this not only because it serves my arguments, but more importantly because knowledge of this will prevent you looking rediculous as you claim to be an authority on that which you know nothing about.

Simply a statement of 'your beliefs on Christianity are flawed' does not make them so, your effective, intelligent and pertinent rebuttal and discussion of them is what would. Please if you wish to dismiss me as such, do this, else you become simply a troll, parading your own stubborness rather than intelligence for all to see.

As previously mentioned please take these discussions elsewhere- they are not appropriate for this thread.

If you wish to reply to posts here make another thread.

Actually any GOOD POINTS I make if ignored due to my manner of speech is just a form of cop-out on your behalf.
