When we were simple, naive with primitive desires we loved everything what came from America. From everywhere, we and our anonymous cousins wanted to go to promised land coming back rich and well known from American dream or to stay there still anonymous because majority others in America were also wealthy. That’s how many had “Uncles in America” hoping that one day they will go there and become winners like them.
Then gradually we became less primitive and more sophisticated, educated and complicated learning fro common sense, as Einstein did from physics, that in imperfect world everything is relative. We realised, that in the world of competitive capitalism and cruel social Darwinism, for every winner there must be a losers otherwise the winners would be invisible. And what about those bad and good ?.
Hm! some thought that how good you are depends on how bad others are.
Others said that there are no bad and good people there are only those who suit or not suit each other.
Then annoying some smart arses asked questions like: “Can you be good and winner at the same time? And what the winner is”?
Then odd artists from far away , never heard for them, in their “intellectual perversion” like Tarkovsky in “Nostalgia” wanted to know “If there anything beyond happiness”???. Isn’t it too much?
So while we were also trying to know “ why we live “ Our rich uncles and other winners in America didn’t much border about that , preoccupied, only with the question “How to live”? as a rich winners. Everything was so simple for them, they just enjoyed themselves in Coke, Big Mac, Hollywood and other American dreams. While we were trying to think, they did not waist their time, continuing to be richer and winners, even grabbing from others and still considering us materialistically and capitalistically irresponsible “smart arse” losers.
Suddenly, one they we heard on the news that America is in trouble and possible going broke?.
A cynical envious man, who I don’t like much, said: “ Everything what left from American dream is just a dream”.
I know it was totally surreal but, at the same time, uncontrolled  strange voices, like ghosts, started whispering through the air.
First mother from unknown black and white Hollywood move was calling:
“ Get up Johnny, It’s time to go to school ”
Then Chinese philosopher Lao Tzu : “ Everything is in balance ”. 
Strange isn’t it.

Also some odd questions began to come from now unpromised land America, like about environment, pollution, Is Anglo rationalism, capitalism and our democracy the best we can have???.
Then again mother’s voice:
“ Grow up Johnny it’s 21 st. century”.

Please understand that sometimes the reality can look to someone surreal.

Yes but some of them al;ready died and some of the are dyng together with America.
