Feedback board rules
Nov 4th, 2008 at 10:41pm

I'm not sure how to make this any clearer. Do not post complaints about the mods of the member run boards here. Stop using the board if you do not like how it is run. I will close the feedback board if you cannot take the hint.

Another rule - no drama queening on the feedback board.

Free diver my post about 'Censorship' was transferred by a Moderator from General Discussions to The Feeddback Board.

Perhaps you might be able to tell me what the correct etiquette is please if there is a complaint?

Correct etiquette is to post in the right place and save the mod work.

What if we insist on having threads where we want? Will they start charging fees to anchor them in place?

Whatever makes my job easier is good.

That sort of issue should be discussed here, but please try not to make it personal.

Same here.
I can download movies (8 gig) on my xbox without forking out the extra cost for less data.
Yep well worth my tax dollars.  Smiley

Because your the only one who would have ever benefited from the nbn.  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

It's not about your needs, it's about the needs of the country going forward.

The conga line are not bright enough to understand the NBN doesn't stand for numnuts  bogan movie nights.

Well thanks for the abuse, pity I cannot reply appropriately, but you socialist can pretty much abuse and slander who ever you want I suppose.

While you are happy for the taxpayer to fund whatever billions of dollars to build it, it still has to be worth using for people to want to continue its funding, unless you lot are totally happy with this being a multi billion dollar alp white elephant that not a lot of people really need or want. Not many people embtrace a technology that costs more money for less usability, maybe it's a socialists thing.

If and when it becomes something I need, for the price that is comparable to what  I have now, I will consider it, but not any time soon I'd say.

You really must need to down load a lot of porn to warrant an nbn connection.

If you think that's abuse please PM it to a mod, I am sure they need a good laugh at your expense also, no point letting us have all the fun. Grin Grin Grin

If you need to abuse that's fine. but it seems Im not allowed to, but since Im also not a faggot boy, I don't report abuse. I used to just retaliate until they gave up.

But I noticed, as you say your post is not abuse and it is not relevant and it is not informative, why exactly are you here?

Your posts much like you life seem pointless

*Sure....they're anti competitive as any subsidised job is.  It wouldn't be there without the tax payer.  Very damned difficult for a brainwashed collectivist to understand that I know....  (swaggy) *

Couldn't the mods just move threads instead of deleting them if they don't meet with their approval? There are plenty of sub-forums they can be transferred to.

A reminder - do not post criticism of the member run boards or their moderators here.

Also, do not use the feedback board to attack other members or continue your personal disputes, or bring up issues that will only get personal.

If you really really want to say something about that, send us a PM.

The feedback board is for important issues that need to be brought to everyone's attention and require the input of the global mods. This does not include your latest feud. Please try to exercise better judgement. I try to read everything that is posted here, but cannot do that if it turns into a bitchfest.

.
Had logged out when I saw this and have logged back in to ask where complaints are supposed to be made ?

I've had a quick scan of the list at the top.  Nowhere can I see where member complaints about, for example, attacks on members' computers via their ISP which should be known only to admin and mods, are addressed

Those who've been messed around on this forum will know just how disgusting it is, what a blatant abuse of their privacy and how inclined they feel to bring it to outside attention if it continues without mod or admin action

It's very rare these days to find these sort of tactics taking place on any forum. It was sometimes a problem on last-century online fora, but most forums have kept pace with the times since those bad old days

My computer is of value, as is my time.  I should not have to fear attacks on my computer as result of expressing an opinion in an online forum

When it happens twice, it's difficult to explain away.  Only mods or admin should have access to my personal data or ISP.  What am I to assume -- that Oz Politics mods and/or admin undertook to crash my computer twice, despite I remained away from this forum for several weeks after the first attack?  Or am I to suspect that one or more mods supplied my details to general forum members in order they could crash my computer?  Either way, surely there's an avenue for complaint and the warning of others about it ?

To be told we may not mention these shortcomings of this forum is a bit rich, under the circumstances

And when I went to the 'rules' and looked at the list, there was no specific place advised as the proper destination for valid complaint

I thought I was the only one to have suffered such attacks and invasion of privacy, but a few moments ago saw that others have and are suffering the same problem in this forum

Instead of issuing edicts against memebers' valid complaints, I would have expected forum mods and admin would deal with the cause, that being those unprincipled individuals who are handing out people's private details in order their computers may be attacked

I wouldn't accept this in the street where I live and would immediately summon the police in addition to alerting the media.  Is there nowhere on this forum where forum-police might be alerted in order these attacks on members would be investigated and the culprits dealt with?  Or are those who patronise this forum expected to just take it without complaint ?

Please direct this message to whomever IS prepared to deal with the culprits, rather than chastising the victims

i propose another rule:  no more "speculative" lying about members in Feedback.  Relationships is the place for that.

I agree entirely...however I do believe anyone that has that problem should go direct to fd....

if you place it on feedback it turns into a dogs dinner.

the news should go on here to alert others this has just happened.. can we be honest and say it has to be another member of the forum. Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

I for one have never heard of it happening before... so now I know its happened to you as well..on ozpol...

and of course we should all be aware.

as well as fd.

its a shame if we have to attack each other... when all you are trying to do is warn others.
