Farewell
Nov 18th, 2008 at 11:20am

You all knew it was coming  Grin

So I'm Swayze.

Having performed for the last day an excercise in banging my head against the wall, I have decided to pull myself from under the bridge and head to pastures greener. I suplicate to God that you are all given sagacity and guidence. That your minds become open and your hearts become unhardened. I pray that you find yourself happy in Jannah, and that you will not be counted among those who when confronted with logic and rightiousness responded with derision and injustice. Ameen.

Peace to all, insha'Allah Gaybrie andl Abu Rashid are given strength in this difficult Jihad of theirs.

I'll leave you all to get back to arguing with yourselves  Tongue

Peace,

Will.

Bye bye there. I hope you see the light and allow others the freedom to think, say, feel and express what they want.

When will you see the light and practise what you preach?

I think people can say what ever they want. I'm not the one banning people from criticising what I believe, I'm not the one demanding others change their avatars because I find them offensive, I'm not out in the street calling for the death of those who criticise or question things I may hold dear. I think you're confused, son.

No you don't. Wasn't it you that was squealing like
mod: inappropriate language
when a council decided to cater to muslims dietry habits. You were whinging that muslims make demands, and went into your usual anti-Islamic rants. And now you claim you believe that people can say what they want? Oh right...of course, unless those people are muslims eh.

lol...your posts are there for all to read. Perhaps we should allow others to judge shall we.

Again, that was forcing non-muslims to conform to what muslims believe. People have a right to eat and drink what they like without having to pander to muslim traditions. No one is forcing a muslim to break their tradition, I don't care what you eat (or don't) or when you eat it.....so have the same respect for others who do not believe the same things.

Likewise....and yes, we should allow others to judge, comment and criticise, that's what healthy debating is all about.

So?

Didn't you just say that 'everyone' has the right to say what they want. Doesn't this include muslims?

Muslims can demand whatever they want, it is up to the decision makers to choose whether to accept those demands, or reject them. Is this how democracy works.

Yet you direct your anger not at the decision makers, but the muslims, who were just doing what you pretend to believe...'saying what they want to say'.

Ah...its all to easy to expose your hypocricy Jordan. You clearly do not believe that muslims have the right to say what they want, this right you believe only belongs to non-muslims in your eyes.

Of course it includes muslims. I'm not stopping muslims from saying anything at all.

Of course muslims can demand whatever they want, any group can, in fact any individual can......but if anyone or group makes demands that forces others to comply with a certain belief, then I think those demands should be vocally criticised, and the demands rejected.

My anger would be directed at both. And you're confusing 'saying' what you like and 'forcing' others to comply with what you believe.

No, you clearly do not understand. Saying what you like is one thing, forcing others to comply to your belief system is another entirely. If anyone here is being hypocritical, it's you.

Ding! Incorrect answer, I'm afraid.

Muslims can demand whatever god wants. Everything muslims do, say, think, feel or desire is an act of will by god.

So don't get above your station like those pesky non-muslims. Just because they have free will it does not mean that you, too, have it.

sigh...

mod: personal attack

Tell me Soren...as a Christian, do you believe that God is infallible.

I find it interesting that you are using the very same shallow arguments that athiests use against Christianity when debating the nature of God.

Ironic isn't it. In a lot of ways your arguing against your own beliefs and concept of God (or Jesus, or the holy spirit, or all 3).

It's a shame that I have to pollute Rintrah's farewell thread with this kind of nonsense but it must be done.

Lestat- please adjust your attitude when speaking to others. I am not sure how you can expect courtesy, respect and manners from others when you extend none of these things yourself.

Your constant personal attacks will not be tolerated in this forum. I believe you have valuable opinions but by peppering them with constant slights against other members you not only detract from your arguments, but you degrade others and yourself.

Please keep your comments constructive and keep your opinions about other members to yourself.

Essentially I am asking you to remember your adab.

Having said that I would like to farewell Rintrah.

Thankyou very much for your constructive input here, you have been a great example of how to be constructive, positive and how not to devolve onto a personal level.

I think even if people here have had disagreements with what you say they could still see that you have at least said it in a respectful manner.

Please do come back from time to time if you feel like it.

So my little apologist.... you are on a jihad eh?

hardly a revelation eh.

As for Rin's wisdom and manners...  you just skim the surface of muslim commentary don't you.  Let me tell you jihadist...  it's like the Emperors New Clothes.
