Does anybody believe in angels?

I don't know if this story belongs in here or in "fringe".

Hospital 'angel' caught on camera

16:00 AEST Thu Dec 25

A mother believes a visit from an angel saved her sick daughter's life — and she has the photos to prove it.

Chelsea Banton, 14, was fighting for her life after a bout of pneumonia, a collapsed lung and subsequent infections saw her breathing with the aid of a ventilator at Charlotte Presbyterian Hospital.

As her family gathered to say their final goodbyes and mother Colleen faced the decision on removing her life support, hospital staff noticed a mysterious bright light outside her room.

"On the monitor, there was this bright light," the Daily Mail reported Mrs Banton as saying.

"And I looked at it and I said, 'Oh my goodness! It looks like an angel!''

When nurses then took off her oxygen mask, Chelsea's vitals returned to normal.

A fortnight later, she returned home in time for her 15th birthday.

"The nurse practitioner who saw the image in the monitor said, 'I've worked here 15 years, and I've never seen anything like it'," Mrs Banton said. ..

imho - angels do some of Gods work here.

The angels I imagine are varied. Small wee dainty ones like tinkerbell for reminding people.
Big fearsome ones like rambo for other jobs.
Try arsking the parking angel next time you are looking for a carpark. Smiley

The ones we have here have big claw-like hands with snakes growing fron their heads.
They beckon you to come park and then they laugh hysterically as they send out an extortion fee.

Good for you, even if it is only a personal idea which you find comforting.

The power of our mind, to influence what we feel and experience, is largely unknown, and sometimes having a belief, is an end to itself, as far as creating a positive mindset.

The failing is when some seek to convince others or the veracity of their personal ideas, which is very rarely a positive experience for either party.

Chelsea's mother captured the baffling light on the CCTV monitor with a digital camera.

"If [people] doubt it, that's fine ... but I know what I saw, and the picture's untouched," Mrs Banton said.

"I didn't make it up.

'I look at things differently than I used to, because I know God is in control."

Amazingly, it wasn't the first time Chelsea had escaped a brush with death.

Doctors reportedly gave her 36 hours to live after she was born five weeks prematurely, but she recovered to lead a relatively normal childhood.

"I'm learning that every day she's alive is a miracle," Mrs Banton said.

No, I don't believe in angels in a religious sense. I am willing to accept the possibility for some type of entity that is currently unexplained and I can accept this based on the fact that I can accept that there are more than 4 dimensions in the universe.

Bottom line for me though is that it looks like someone forgot to draw the morning curtians.

Santa was ticked. It was Christmas Eve and NOTHING was going right. Mrs. Claus had burned all the Christmas cookies. The Elves were griping about not getting paid for the overtime they had while making toys. And the reindeer had been drinking all afternoon and were dead drunk. They had taken the sleigh out for a spin earlier in the day and crashed it into a tree, breaking off one of the runners.

Santa was beside himself with anger. "I CAN'T believe it! I've got to deliver millions of presents all over the world in just a few hours from now and all my reindeer are drunk and my Elves are on strike. I don't even have a Christmas tree! I sent that stupid Little Angel out HOURS ago to find a tree and he isn't even back yet! What am I going to do?"

Just then, the Little Angel opened the front door and stepped in from the snowy night, dragging a Christmas tree. He says: "Yo, fat man! Where do you want me to stick the Christmas tree this year?"

And thus the tradition of angels atop the Christmas trees came to pass.....

"The Human Consciousness Project at the University of Southampton in the UK began the biggest research study to date of near-death experiences (NDEs) among heart attack survivors who have been resuscitated.

The Baylor University Institute for Studies of Religion also released results of a survey that found more than half of those polled believed they have been helped by a guardian angel during their lives.

There is an obvious link between NDEs and angels. "
