Hamas hits Israeli military base

Hamas resistance fighters have struck an Israeli military base amid an ongoing full-scale Israeli incursion against the Gaza Strip.
The fighters have fired at least five Grad rockets at an unknown military base, located some 50 kilometers from the Gaza Strip, Hamas Al-Aqsa TV station reported Saturday.
The strike marks the deepest target of Hamas rockets in Israel.
Israeli attacks on Gaza have so far killed 827 Palestinians and wounded at least 3,500 others, including women and children.
Israel launched Operation Cast Lead against Gaza on December 27 to halt rocket attacks from the Gaza Strip.
Hamas demands a cessation to an 18-month Israeli blockade on Gaza before its fighters stop rocket attacks against Israel.
