Just out of curiousity do you consider any of these to be flags?

I checked your definition. My computer screen doesn't appear to be made of cloth, so it appears to fail your definition.

It was the sentiment of your statement that struck me as odd. I'm not sure why this sentiment hangs so critically on the definition of a flag.

making them take down the israeli flag doesn't sit well with me

I'm not down with israel- but lots of people are, lots of people have families there. you can't demonise people just because they're israeli. there are many israelis who want peace, who disagree with their government, who work towards educating people about the history etc etc. if people keep thinking of israelis in this fashion they're going to completely demonise them and we'll have another problem on our hands.

there was recently a jewish person on MV who had the blue star of david as their avatar (not connected to israel) and had the avatar taken away from them- an absolutely disgusting act that many people protested.

she- and nah she didn't. a lot of people adopted the star as their avatar in protest and it was taken away from all of us.

and before you ask all of the people who adopted it (or argued against it being removed) were muslim except for two
