donald asked,
Quote:" Bible question Sprint...
What's the third revelation? "
I have never heard of
"3 revelations", being spoken of within the bible.
In teh KJV bible, a search on the word....
revelationgets 10 hits, all in the NT.
If i were to guess, i would say that the next 'revelation' will be a revelation of God's nature, to men's understanding.
....[and it will not be a happy time, for many men!]
The OT suggests that there is a vail/veil between ourselves and God, making our comprehension [atm] of what God is, impossible.
Many Jewish ppl understand such a 'revelation' [of God] in the term, 'redemption'.
The Jewish ppl traditionally are awaiting their 'redeemer'.
e.g.
Psalms 130:1
<<A Song of degrees.>> Out of the depths have I cried unto thee, O LORD.
2 Lord, hear my voice: let thine ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications.
3 If thou, LORD, shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord, who shall stand?
4 But there is forgiveness with thee, that thou mayest be feared.
5 I wait for the LORD, my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope.
6 My soul waiteth for the Lord more than they that watch for the morning: I say, more than they that watch for the morning.
7 Let Israel hope in the LORD: for with the LORD there is mercy, and with him is plenteous redemption.
8
And he shall redeem Israel from all his iniquities.
Psalms 25:22
Redeem Israel, O God, out of all his troubles.
With reference to 'the children of Israel', the Jews [and their expectation of redemption], what i have written here may have some relevance....
"Like as a woman with child...."http://www.ozpolitic.com/forum/YaBB.pl?num=1231830268This 'revelation', or understanding of what God is, which comes to men, is spoken of in a number of places in OT scripture.
.....[it is also alluded to as a 'fire' which will somehow 'burn', or consume, evil.]
Isaiah 25:7
And
he will destroy in this mountain the face of the covering cast over all people, and the vail that is spread over all nations.
8 He will swallow up death in victory; and the Lord GOD will wipe away tears from off all faces; and the rebuke of his people shall he take away from off all the earth: for the LORD hath spoken it.
Isaiah 40:5
And
the glory of the LORD shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.
Malachi 3:1
....and
the Lord, whom ye seek, shall suddenly come to his temple, even the messenger of the covenant, whom ye delight in: behold, he shall come, saith the LORD of hosts.
2 But who may abide the day of his coming? and who shall stand when he appeareth?
When God is revealed to their hearts, men will be ashamed [of their own arrogance] and be truly fearful of the TRUTH of their circumstance.....
Amos 5:18
Woe unto you that desire the day of the LORD! to what end is it for you? the day of the LORD is darkness, and not light.
19 As if a man did flee from a lion, and a bear met him; or went into the house, and leaned his hand on the wall, and a serpent bit him.
20 Shall not the day of the LORD be darkness, and not light? even very dark, and no brightness in it?
Revelation 6:16
And [men] said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb:
I hope this has been of some help.

Proverbs 25:2
It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings is to search out a matter.
